An interesting sidebar to this story:

Have you noticed how difficult it it to hire true hit men. So very often one ends up hiring a police man or agent.

I guess we don't know the successes, but time after time after time, whether here or in the states, they end up with a cop or an agent.

Why? You may know someone pretty heavily involved in crime but even they draw the line at murder for one or another or more reasons. They ain't into it, they know the cops put the most effort into solving murders, they know the person hiring them isn't a professional criminal and would crack under very little pressure and/or the guy hired knows he can score serious points and get great favours from the cops if he turns in a murderer.

So it all makes you think twice about hiring one.... there is another important factor too; the lack of any standards or licensing board for hit men... their work is terribly spotty and as often as not the job is bungled. True professionals are indeed rare.

Seriously and completely hypothetically though (and I appreciate not too much can be said publicly but please PM me where necessary) how would one hire a hit man for a job where the victim was suffering from cancer in the most horrible way and wanted to die sooner rather then later and all is family is in agreement?

Very god point Dee. It works both ways though, if the Hit man is caught the prosecutors could offer a very attractive deal to give up his employer. At least that's what happens on Law & Order :)

It's been known for quite some time that the owner of TER has coerced many escorts / agencies into freebies in exchange for preferential treatment or even being allowed on his site. He's not the cream of society for sure.

it is still murder, and the family / participants can be charged with a crime.

In my hypothetical example any insurances entitlements would be waived before the dead was done...

I'll read the article YWO in detail... in general browsing it seems like those who try to commit suicide have somewhat more success then hit men but still very often foul things up too, just leaving themselves in a worse situation.
