Is no one watching this?? What a great game tonight in Montreal!!! Go USA! Best looking team prevails! :p  (Though the Germans weren't too shabby looking, either. Some hot Heidi's!) The Americans owned it, end to end. A boss game. Go USA!

Oh, and speaking of hot teams, too bad the Canadians didn't advance versus England last week - I would've liked watching another game of those girls! Lauren Sesselmann (she's an American BTW ) and Adriana Leon. Lauren Sesselmann is ridiculously beautiful for an athlete.

Compare and contrast to the butt-ugly boy-girls on China, Japan and Korea...

I hope the US pounds the Japs into submission on Sunday!! The ultimate beautiful vs ugly smackdown!

OMG, the Japanese national team is soooooo butt-ugly. A little bit of dinner is coming back up... So is it wrong I'm cheering for the better-looking team?? The English are totally game, not roadkill at all.

Then again, I'd much rather have the USWNT exact some revenge on these eyesores Sunday.

Guys,

I haven't been able to see many of the games but I've been following the U.S. team. As to England, wow did they screw up with an own goal on a failed clearing attempt by Lauren Bassett. Geeeez, how do you live that down. Otherwise the U.S. ladies think it's their year and after beating top ranked Germany 2-0 the dream seems in the grasp. We'll see.

GOUSAGO,

The English deserved better. What a cursed football nation. Only the English can lose in such an agonizing fashion. I feel bad for that poor girl. She was inconsolable. She has to live with that own goal for the rest of her life. Bad bounces happen, and you really can't blame her...

The women's game, I find, is much more enjoyable to watch than men's soccer. A lot more offensive chances because they can't close on the ball or for the offensive player to physically just play keep-away like the men. In a way, the games are much more open and competitive. Same goes for volleyball (BTW the most beautiful bodies among female athletes) and tennis.

And girls are just nicer. You'll see good sportsmanship. You don't see as much as of the disgusting diving you see with men. If anything in the sporting world makes me sick, is watching male soccer players try to "fight" - pussies the lot of them, it's like watching a teenage girl try to punch-slap someone, pathetic. Punch like a man, bitch!

USA team was lucky in the competition. Globally, Women soccer has zero interest .

Globally perhaps. But I think Americans are more appreciative of the women's game, because of fair play; because we don't get the whole Manchester United, Liverpool, club loyalty shit; because we think male soccer players are ultimately a bunch of pussies.

I don't care how much NBC and Fox tries to push Champions League and soccer commercialism onto Americans, we will always prefer American football, basketball, and hockey - pro and college - to soccer. Female soccer is not competing for that same attention, and is much more interesting.

Alex Morgan has the cutest face, no?? Body is a bit too muscular for my taste. And she's hilarious, girl has some personality. Kristen Press has a beautiful body. Kelley O'Hara looks like she's a little Irish firecracker, bet she can be fun. And if you like boobs, Sydney Leroux has some... assets. Hope Solo, all domestic issues aside, has model-quality looks.

Lauren Sesselmann (American BTW) still has to be the best looking so far I've seen I the tournament. She looks like a giant on the field, but she's only 5'8". 31 or 32, and still looks gorgeous and behaves young. Talk about aging well.

Then you have butch Sasquatches like Abby Wambach, Nadine Angerer, and Canada's Sinclair. <shudder>

Yeah, it's just like if a lot of americans guys see sport as a way to prove they are not pussies or gay, which is really immature.

I spent 1year in a US University, and we played soccer with the girls (who were way more open-minded, as often), cause the guys thought soccer was just good for gays. Well, that was great cause the "gays" were those who managed to date soccer team cuties...

I also think you don't see Sport as europeans do. In Europe, soccer for exemple is seen as an art. Players who are too violent are seen as they are : poor guys who use the only argument they can cause they lack talent.

Talent and loyalty is what we admire in sport in Europe. In USA, sport is a show or a way to express patriotism or manliness, which is fine, but really different.

if you like boobs, Sydney Leroux has some... assets.

Sudney Leroux (also Canadian BTW) was once engaged to Brett Lawrie, also from British Columbia and once a fan-favorite with the Toronto Blue Jays.

They also share a love for ink. A lot of it!

Dominating Game by the Americans. Even an own goal by the USA couldn't help Japan.

Guys,

The US should be very proud of the Women's Soccer Team...they played their hearts out to honor the 4th of July!

You wouldn't want any other way! Very Very big win for the USA!

Its nice that this spectacular victory comes one day after our 4th of July/Independence Day. What I'm very happy about is that many of these women stayed with it for such a long time, and kept going despite losing in a shootout against this same Japan team last time. The women came out determined and despite Japan's hard attack during the 2nd half, often threatening, the Japanese themselves never were able to score again. USA blew away Japan early so that they had no real hope of recovering. It may not be as exciting as a close one to watch, but we love it anyway.

Women's World Cup: U.S. crushes Japan 5-2 to win third title

By Steve Almasy, CNN

Updated 0243 GMT (0943 HKT) July 6, 2015

http://edition.cnn.com/2015/07/05/football/womens-world-cup-final/index.html

(CNN)Carli Lloyd was on a mission.

It was her goal to help her team bring the World Cup trophy to the United States for the first time in 16 years.

Japan stood in her way, but it never stood a chance as the Americans' No. 10 stung quickly and often to guide the United States to a record third Women's World Cup.

The United States' 5-2 victory Sunday over the defending champion in Vancouver, British Columbia, gave the Americans their first opportunity to lift the World Cup trophy since 1999.

Lloyd scored the first hat-trick in a women's final to lead the United States, which also won the World Cup in 1991.

"I called her my beast," U.S. Coach Jill Ellis told Fox Sports. "She's unbelievable. She's a rock star."

Lloyd indeed was the star of stars Sunday, and throughout the tournament. On Sunday she scored in the third, fifth and 16th minutes of play, leaving the 1991 champions stunned.

For her play, Lloyd was awarded the Golden Ball, signifying she was the best player at the World Cup. She also tied for most goals (6) in the tournament with Celia Sasic of fourth-place Germany.

Lauren Holiday and Tobin Heath had the other goals for the United States.

Japan's Yuki Ogimi scored in the 27th minute, and Japan netted another goal when the U.S. played the ball into its own net in the 52nd minute.

The United States had seven shots on goal, while Japan had four.

U.S. goalkeeper Hope Solo, voted the tournament's best at her position, had three saves, while Japan goalkeeper Ayumi Kaihori had two.

The Americans's victory avenges their penalty-kick shooutout defeat in 2011 to Japan. In that match, the United States had a 1-0 lead but Japan scored nine minutes from the end of regulation. The United States had a 2-1 lead in extra time, but Japan's Homare Sawa scored one of the greatest goals in soccer history just three minutes from time.

Japan won the penalty kick shootout 3-1 as the United States missed its first three attempts.

The United States got a taste of revenge in 2012 at the London Olympics, defeating the Japanese 2-1 in the gold medal match.

Many, MANY cheers,

Female soccer player with an attractive face and a man's body. Ok, it helps explain a bit why our good buddy Merlot has such a big hard-on for Alex Morgan! ;)

I'm more into the Sydney Leroux type, who used to be engaged to Brett Lawrie back in the days when they were growing up in British Columbia.

p.s. Just having a bit of fun with you, buddy. :D

...a man's body.

Funny. Peaceful thread. No negativity. No rivalries. No nonsense. The event has been over for a couple of days. Not one bad word. No one posting. I haven't seen anyone bothering anyone anywhere else for some time. Wolfie and I like the lady. Yet Doc couldn't help starting up some late night shit-disturbing completely out of the blue. Shows who wants crap. Just facts.

What's the matter Doc. I just noticed Mod20 cleaned the crap from your hockey posts so now you had to start something here??? GO FOR IT!
