A janitor has been charged with attempted murder and attempted arson after allegedly trying to blow up an all-girls private academy in Toronto.

Toronto police say the head custodian allegedly cut the gas line at St. Joseph’s College School, near Bay and Wellesley streets, just before 8 a.m. on Thursday. He then, police say, went to the kitchen and turned on the stoves.

Recap on the auto industry in Canada.

2008 finance crisis on wall street, GM like Chrysler was to go under (yeah right !)
Begged gov. money (welfare corp. mentality) from both sides of the border and got it.

Our beloved federalist gov. gave them $$$$ while they didn't give sh!t to help the pulp and paper all across Canada.
They figured that it would get them more votes in the upcoming elections.

GM went on to sell a lot of their cars in China, transfered many of their plants to make more money and...

Tada.... GM is now considering pulling the plug completely in Oshawa !
http://www.windsorstar.com/business...ian+labour+costs+must+fall/6714268/story.html

Mind you, if it wasn't for the Americans in North America, I wouldn't have the pleasure to drive all around and enjoy some of our most beautiful roads along the sea out here. So thumbs up to GM and it's late motto 'Like a Rock' which plays in my mind sometimes when I'm enjoying a good SP session.

But too bad for those smurfs in Ontario who got a lot of federal money while Quebec and B.C. didn't get sh!t.

En bon francais !... i sont en train de s'faire passer un bon sapin, roi des forets :D

Grrrr! Don't talk to me about Toronto!

I was the whole week in Kitchener/Waterloo and I came back today. I left at 1hpm and I arrived in Montreal at 08h30. It was raining cats and dogs all the way (up to Cornwall)
It took me two hours to drive the distance between Mississauga and Oshawa. I heard on the radio, while I was driving, that heavy rains flooded Toronto's Union Station. Just like Montreal this week: heavy rain (I saw it on TV while in Waterloo)

Enjoy the on-coming week-end !
Dunno about the weather but it might very well be.. a hot one in Montreal anyway !

We should now start our own South American carnival in Montreal to honnor them !

Well looks like I'm gonna have fun with this in the coming years !

"In the eastern German city of Jena, home to the Carl Zeiss company, in dimly lit optics laboratories, scientists are working hard to create computer chips that can see. Small and as flat as a fingernail, these chips also have tiny metal legs that make them resemble millipedes. Invisible lenses make their surfaces appear blank.

No external lenses, shutters or shutter releases are necessary, just the light-field chip itself, an electronic component hardly bigger than a piece of confetti. Electronics and optics have merged.

Invisible but Everywhere

The fact that these sight-capable chips are practically invisible makes it entirely possible that they will be everywhere in a few years, watching us from shirt buttons, glasses or fake compacts...etc."

Gunman kills 1, injures 7 in TO eaton center.

Now lets see in one week someone tries to blow up a school full of childrens and a sick fuck shoot at people in Eaton Center !

God I luv Montreal for being a lot more peaceful !

BTW "My source says" the gunman was probably lonely, had a lifestyle and cultural barriers and probably didn't speak english.
Also he never knew before getting in Canada that TO was mostly english speaking'.

Well as you just mentioned none of those 3 shooting happened twice in the same place in Mtrl.
So I'd say it's pretty safe to go back to Poly, Concordia and Dawson... now !

As for the Eaton center in TO ? looks like it's starting to be a patern of some sort !
Isn't it the 2nd time or 3rd ?

Now with another bomb treath on a BC ferry ?

My Gawd I'd rather stay in Mtrl. until GND strikes again !

it's the 1st time a shooting has occurred in the Eaton Centre in recent memory. the 2005 boxing day incident was a little further north on Yonge St.

actually, Montreal is scary because pieces of structure fall and crush people here regularly. Peel St Sushi resto in what was it... 2008??? Laval overpass collapse...
Now we're all waiting for a portion of the Champlain Bridge to collapse because it's just a matter of time a bunch of unlucky people get dropped into the river...

Gentle, why the hate-on hardwood for Toronto?

the traffic and the drivers suck.
but you got to love TO for the money, food, multiculturalism...

Nop only for the trees !

Lets just say that It's fun to see some of the people out here 'Petter leur coches' after some years at mocking guys in Mtrl.
Tell you a secret... only these guys really believe I hate TO.

They still haven't figure it out that I was raised in both TO and Mtrl...

Nop ! Montreal is scary only to those who never been to : Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Vancouver (the east portion of it), the US, Russia, Columbia, Peru, Venezuela, Uruguay, Paraguay, Iran, IraQ, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, AFGH, Pakistan, the whole continent of Africa, Burma, anything that ends with 'stan', some part of France, Ireland, Guatemala, Mexico, Cuba, Costa Rica, Panama, the Philipines, Ceylan, India, the Nunavut and everything up north...

Sh!t I think I'm missing some... oh yes ! Ottawa

"Three men were killed by gunfire... - one a 16-year-old shot in the heart over a bag of weed."

See I left out TO this time !

Quick dispatch from Ottawa... The feds were informed from their own report that Canada's busiest bridge was dangerous (from a long time ago) since they never fixed it properly and prefered building the 1.2B confederation bridge for PEI 130K people. (30K less than the daily traffic on Champlain).

They figured all P.E.I. would travel back and forth to New Brunswick every day for the next 50 years to make it worth building it !

Now mind you, it's a construction 'thing' and we all know how the current gov. are keen at making sure to wait until everything crumbles to charge 3 times more in re-building it. Kinda help paying for some personal 2M yacht.

Hell ! you can take the subway I hear there's only some smoke once in a while :eyebrows:
