Hello - I hope you’re all doing well ♥

I wanted to post a thread about Jock Itch. Some men aren’t even aware they have it… they just live with it and it goes untreated.

Jock Itch is like a male yeast infection - however it’s not the same fungal bacteria found in yeast.
Jock itch and yeast infections can both cause an itchy rash in the groin area, but jock itch is a fungal infection, oftentimes caused by the fungus “Tinea Cruris” while a yeast infection is caused by the fungus “Candida”.

First and foreskin, I’d like to mention that:

Jock itch is a fungal
infection
NOT an STD/STI.

HOWEVER
it can still be transmitted to your partners / SPs.

It has nothing to do with showering and “being clean” but it’s still very unpleasant to deal with. It can have a smell and it’s just visibly unappealing.
You can be the cleanest person ever but still have Jock Itch.

Think about it, you wouldn’t want to engage in sexual intercourse with a woman that has an active yeast infection down there… Unless you are a cottage cheese lover…
(Anyways, female yeast infections cause our vaginas to be itchy, have a burning sensation and intercourse is extremely painful… so we tend to not want to engage in sexual activities.)

Causes:

- Moist / warm conditions which create the perfect breeding ground that allows fungus to thrive in those cracks and crevices. Sweat accumulation, wet clothing, tight clothing, sharing towels (???) being overweight (skin folds), not drying off completely after showering (this is why I air dry my pussy, asshole, armpits, underboobs always)
- Clothes rubbing up against the skin causing friction / irritation
- Transmission between partners

Symptoms:

- Itchy rash; red ring-like pattern
- Discomfort or burning sensation in affected area
- Groin area: flaking, peeling or crackling of the skin; specifically around groin, upper thighs and buttocks

Treatment:

The treatment is an OTC anti-fungal cream that is available in every pharmacy and even online, such as Amazon.

Jock itch most commonly affects the groin area but is oftentimes seen in armpits and underboobs!

(I once caused myself an underboob fungal infection by scrubbing / exfoliating too hard with my loofa. It was not fun, but treatment is quick and effective - Canesten or Anti-fungal cream does the trick!)

Things to consider for us SPs

1) Engaging in sexual intercourse:
The rubbing + friction of the groins / crotches can lead to having our PH in our vaginas completely thrown off balance.

MEANING = yeast infections, vaginitis and or Bacterial Vaginosis.

MEANING = SPs can’t work for the time they heal (could take up to more than a week by the time they can be seen + treat + heal.)

Not so fun fact:
Did you know that Bacterial Vaginosis and Vaginitis require a doctor’s visit because it necessitates a prescription? Yes. Did you also know that Emergency rooms are annoying for this type of problem and some SPs don’t have family doctors?
To be seen and treated promptly would require an in-person visit at a private clinic which costs around $250-$300 for a visit + prescription.

2) CBJs and BBBJs:

We may also “catch” your fungal infection (be it Jock Itch or Yeast infection) in our mouths, protected or not.
Although this is easily treatable with OTC anti-fungal creams, this can be painful as it sets in the corners / openings of the mouth and may bleed. The wounds keep crackling open.

MEANING = can’t work.

3) Russian / Tittyfuck:

Although, rare since most SPs shower after every session, the fungal infection from your crotch can install itself under our boobs as well.

4) Armpits

Cuddling usually happens a lot during / after a session. Opening your sour armpit to invite us to bask in its juices is really gross. We will close that armpit and you can cuddle yourselves.

Anecdote:

As much as I personally am a hygiene / clean freak, I won’t make it obvious that I am actively looking for signs of STI/STDs or infections - and frankly, sometimes I can’t see because it’s night time and my dim, sex lights are on - it makes it hard for me to see stuff with my hawk eyes.

It’s not up to me to inspect you with a flashlight - I give people the benefit of the doubt and trust that people are aware of their own bodies / hygiene. Sadly, this is not the case for many.

Please check yourselves! Don’t be shy to look in the mirror, bend naked - spread your ass open, check your holes, cracks and crevices with a flashlight, smell yourselves, change your towels frequently, air dry them and you, etc.

Thanks,
Valentina

Jock Itch cream in pharmacy won't work it's only good to prevent it. I know by experience when i used to play drums and going on tour my drum seat get wet and hygiene on tour is not at the best lol so i got jock itch and it's not fun at all it's fucking itchy, it burn and some weird smell ( in the groin and between the balls and anus) so i don't know how men can ignore it as for me i went directly to the doctor after trying all those pharmacy product i got a doctor prescription and was gone after 1 week and never came back.

From past experience OTC fungal creams are not the best way to treat a yeast infection especially if it's in the leg pits. This is because you are watering the infection and fungi need moisture. Better methods of treatment are anti-fungal pills like Diflucan or anti-fungal powders, the best of which is Zeabsorb-AF.

Men on antibiotics are especially prone to fungal infections. If you are taking broad spectrum antibiotics like cipro or flagyl for a lengthy period of time it kills all the bacteria in your skin, which creates a microbial imbalance. This imbalance allows fungi to flourish. That and not keeping the area dry. Which is why OTC fungal creams aren't a great idea. Dermatologists will laugh at them as a viable treatment for an active yeast infection.
