Being a male porn actor isn’t as glamorous as people may believe. The pay is peanuts plus as you mentioned you must be open to constantly performing in things that are degrading to you & the things you asked to do to your partners often end up taking an emotional toll on you & if the actor himself wasn’t already fucked up then he soon will be. And if he refuses to do these things he’ll be replaced by someone else. So really he might as well leave the business because it’s no longer lucrative anyway. This isn’t the 70’s & 80’s when there were very few porn stars around & the pay was worth it as compared to the past twenty years. However when you do this type of stuff it shouldn’t be for the pay. It’s usually has more to do with a love for exhibitionism & personal ego.I befriended a porn actor in Montreal years ago (he made some bad decisions so his life and work are temporarily on pause).
Life in porn is hard, even more so for males. The pay is much lower, performance demands are high (can’t wing it), the gay aspect is unavoidable and it affects your life and relationships after. You have to hustle all the time.
