Putin called Trump to accuse Ukraine to have attacked with drones of one his house.
Trump blindly believed Putin without a trace of proof and blamed Zelinsky !
What a complete idiot !

It's been 4 years since the invasion of Ukraine by Russia and 9336 hours since Trump told he will end that war in 24 hours !
Still waiting !

US under both Biden and Trump has failed to properly support Ukraine which is totally shameful. Amazingly, Ukraine has been successfully fighting much larger Russian military and economy for 4 years now. Notwithstanding how war ends Ukraine is already victorious in defending her freedom.

The notion that the United States of America has a duty to provide ANY military or other aid either to Ukraine or any other nation that is being attacked or aggressed, or the theory that we are employed as an unpaid "world policeman", with a duty to lash out at the whim of liberal Canadians who don't pay a FUCKING CENT for our armed forces, is the product of their sick, disturbed and entitled thinking. It needs to stop. Every country in the world has as much or more of a duty to act. The fact that the USA has military or economic power which might enable it to act on behalf of Ukraine is not equivalent to any kind of duty. The only duty the USA has is to its taxpayers and citizens. As a taxpayer and citizen I say there is no duty to use our money to help Ukraine. I do feel badly for the citizens of Ukraine, I really do. But their problems are their problems, and our problems are our problems. I would rather that money used for building bombs and weapons and killing instruments instead be used for our infrastructure. Our bridges are falling apart. Do you really want to be the one who goes down with the next bridge that collapses when money could be spent fixing it? We need to start looking at our own future. And taking care of our citizens and their needs.

And it's very ironic that these same hugely hypocritical Canadian posters post incessantly in the gun control threads about the U.S. gun culture and how it has to stop, yet here they post that all these weapons and guns should really be SHARED with Ukraine. Are you fucking kidding me??????? You guys should all be fucking banned from posting on this board due to mega ultra hypocrisy.

Sure, it is not US duty to help Ukraine. However, it is not altruistic to do so and is the first and foremost in the interest of the US if you think about it carefully. It is very shortsighted not to see it. It has been discussed and explained in the media by many bright people, and this is not the place to repeat it. And let's keep it civilized Beaver, you are a lawyer after all. By the way I am US citizen.

I know you are. My post was not directed at yours, but rather at the enormously hypocritical Canadian posters in this thread and the thread on mass shootings. The reality of there being no duty must be iterated where, as here, we are involuntarily immersed in a culture of entitlement.

When did you stop believing in the tooth fairy.?
The only defence for Trump being a liar is that so are all the other politicians.
It is a mandatory requirement and they practice it every hour, Trump just happens to excel at it.

The US has never done anything without benefit to them so let’s not make them out as some kind of superhero.
They get involved when there is something in it for them and it has always been that way.

Right now they are not very highly thought of and pretty much hated everywhere and your current tariff king has done his utmost to put Americans in that position.

Btw even though I am far from being a Democrat supporter or liberal either this does happen to be a Canadian forum and right now the way the US has been treating Canada it shouldn’t surprise you of the backlash against the US on a Montreal forum.

I have a large portion of my family in the US and many friends and ex work colleagues but even I have taken a fuck America attitude like the rest of Canada and will refuse to go to the US or spend a dime there as long as Trump is around.
