Rick Miller, former Red Sox centerfielder, has been named the new manager of the New Bedford Bay Sox.

For a minute, i was about to post "shocking news!" and that i wasn't aware Rick Miller had been a candidate for the Red Sox job.

Now it looks like it's between Lamont & Valentine. I have no idea whom they favor the most. My gut-feeling is that we should expect an announcement within the next coming days.

Personally, as a baseball fan, i'd prefer Valentine over Lamont. Valentine is very entertaining & he'd be a blast as Red Sox manager.
