Today is Valentines and Chinese New Year! I think you were supposed to celebrate last night though (New Year's eve).

I liked ``Up in the air`` with George Clooney. One Movie MERBites might enjoy that I saw a couple of years back is a CZech film called `` I served the king of england`` its got several scenes related to the companion scene in that country in the 20s and 30s. It was entertaining regardless.

I would say a walk on the mountain to the look-out would be high on my list of stuff to do. The other must is old Montreal in my opinion. Shopping the underground city you may find interesting. Bar scenes on either St-denis or Crescent street. McGill's grounds are nice, there's teh Montreal...

I wouldn't be at all surprised that Plekanec is looking for 6M$ or more. 1M$ will help but I guess it may not be enough esp in light of the need to sign one goaltender. If they can't sign Plekanec then they definitely should try and trade him.

I personally suspect that CAP SPACE is the main story here. Am I right in understanding that this move opened $1M in space next year (useful in signing goaltenders and Plekanec). Looking more and more like Halak is the main goaltender in Montreal... Habs must be trying to sell Price, no?
