I don’t know where you’re looking but I’ve never paid $600/hr, and I’ve rarely used Indies. There are good agencies in NJ and a couple fairly good ones in NYC for $350-$450/hr. Screening is a requirement, that’s just how it goes.

I think it depends on where in the US you live, but point is well taken. NYC/NJ area isn’t bad, but even places like Florida and CA are awful. I think it goes beyond LE. Culture, entitlement and SA really have an impact

This is such a tough question to answer because I think so much is contingent upon chemistry and the lead up, especially friendly conversation. I will say I enjoy giving as much as receiving so a reaction to the giving makes the receiving so much more memorable.
