Philosophical and motivational Sunday thought:
The masculine energy protects, the feminine energy heals. Together they create wholeness one is the grounded mountain, the other is the sacred river that runs through it. And both are honored and not controlled, not suppressed. Something really magical begins to happen. We stop surviving each other and begin to awaken. He doesn't lose himself by creating safety, she doesn't lose herself by softening.
It's not a battle, it's a sacred dance and with one another we can return to balance, we can return to truth, we can return to love.
That's wholeness and that is what each of us are here to remember.

Yes and no. As this just assumes women be feminine and men be masculine. And we should stay in those roles.

Not only are not all couples man/woman

Not every woman/man wants a masculine man/feminine woman, might want a masculine woman. Or a feminine man.

Also both masculine and feminine traits reside in each of us. It is the human exhistance. It is in trying to neglect sides of ourselves that are there, but not gender accepted, that cause insecurities projected onto others, not someone else's actions of being themselves that should offend our own exhistance.

It is about just trying to be your best self, to encourage others to be their best selves. When we battle up against eachother no one wins.

A protective mother is not being masculine, and neither is a doting father being feminine.

Mmmm.
Never thought about philosophy or what role a man or woman should play. Poetry or reading books from so called experts never entered our minds.
Basically loved, respected and trusted each other, shared our dreams and lives.
Worked our butts off to create a better life for our children than what we had.
Simply things actually work lol.

What’s on my mind? Lately I love to read others’ reviews, especially long time Merb members. But when it comes to new members, it’s a different story. New people join here and start talking about LL providers that hardly had a chance even before the new members got here. Firstly, most of those on LL are not pretty, just being honest. Besides a few indies who advertise there, the rest are not inviting at all.
So to read newcomers talk (shill) about this one and that one, is sometimes laughable. Until you have enough money to get an SP at a decent agency, I will never take your first breath of writing with these LL listers which have no other reviews before you put them here.
Haha money for an agency? What...$250?

I haven't booked from LL but I've seen some who advertise higher rates than that.

I've seen some of those lobsters and they can get just about as big as you, so the question is are you served with garlic butter or with mayo and dill in between a bun, lobster-roll style?

Mayo. I love everything white and thick

People having their flights canceled because of the Air Canada strike. Stuck at the airport. Beach vacation canceled. Trip canceled. Traveling is so important.

Scroll, scroll... War in Ukraine. War in Gaza. Etc. Etc.

Puts things in perspective.

I feel many mothers have a sort of mother bear inside that's ready to do any form of violence for her kids but I never want to witness that much violence in real life. Gender norms are an interesting cultural construct

I feel providers would maybe like this podcast more than most clients but this specific episode involves reading the memoirs of a courtesan named Harriette Wilson who had 200 clients that included some of the most powerful royals and others of her time. Not all of the episodes are the diaries/memoirs of providers as a previous episode has the diaries of Marilyn Monroe and another the diary of Princess Daisy. The woman who runs this podcast has an academic background in fashion history.
