Canada is as young as USA and has infinetely less mass shooting than USA. What cause that difference ? Perhaps stricter firearms law ?
I know some sport competition shooters that possessed AR-15 rifled with high capacity magazines. So in Canada, these weapons were available and mass shootings in schools and shopping centers were non-existents (except twice: at Polytechnique and Dawson College, with 14 and 1 deaths).
I live in a blue state that has strict gun safety laws and the lowest gun death rate in the U.S..

I forgot the mass murders of Portapic in Canada's Maritime province in 2020. A man killed 13 humains with firearms and 9 in fires.
He's mostly the cause of banning thousands of firearms in Canada.

It's like saying there is something wrong with the Animal Kingdom, and that sharks shouldn't attack seals, but instead be kind to them. You have 2 choices, one is to live in reality, the other is to live in a fantasy world. I choose to live in reality.

I would say that you live in by far the most violent country that I know except where criminals drug dealers and producers make the laws.

That is a ridiculous comparison.
You actually approve of Americans living like animals killing each other because that is basically what you are saying.
What a way to live kill or be killed lol.

And killing kids by the dozens in schools.
At least wild animals kill to feed themselves ! As far as I know, killers in USA don't do it for feeding themselves !

^^^^^ There was a mass shooting in Canada at Tumbler Ridge Secondary school in British Columbia. 10 people dead. The shooter is a transgender, alleged name Jesse Strang. The Liberals will now use this tragedy to justify their gun buyback program. But they fail to acknowledge the root cause which is mental health which is probably behind a lot of the mass shootings in the US.

You are absolutely correct about this. The notorious Sandy Hook elementary school shooting was committed by a mentally ill 20 year old who accessed his mother's rifle to shoot her, 26 people at Sandy Hook elementary school, and then himself.

We in the United States no longer institutionalize mentally ill people as it costs too much to do so. Therefore, the burden of caring for such individuals falls on their families. The families have difficulty securing their guns from such persons. In addition, persons like the shooter, who had Asperger Syndrome and Anorexia Nervosa, need their meds and if they don't get the meds, someone is going to suffer the consequences. This kid was so ill that he changed his socks and underwear 20 times a day and his mother did 3 loads of laundry per day.

To me the problem isn't guns as much as mentally ill people getting a hold of guns. It's very hard to stop. And again, if you have a mentally ill person with a gun, your only chance to stop him may be to have a gun yourself. Otherwise, you are going down. Fradi telling him to put the gun down and play nice isn't going to be as effective a self defense as kneecapping him with one shot.

Even looking at his photo you can see something wrong with this kid:

Your analogies are ridiculous as always.
How many mass shooters got knee capped exactly.
Most die in a hale of bullets when law enforcement corners them.
Law enforcement is who should have access to the guns not individual citizens,
Another ridiculous argument is that only disturbed mentally ill people kill and murder others, this is applicable to any murderer sane people don’t kill other human beings.
What you don’t mention is the amount of daily gun violence and the amount of people being killed and murdered with guns on a daily basis.
These are not mass murders just your gun happy Americans settling their grievances by murdering each other wether it is criminals, gangs, or domestic violence.
The weapon of choice is more than 90% of the time a gun because everyone has one.

The same in Canada.

Years ago, in Canada, the mentally ill were cut loose and right on cue, there was an increase in numerous social problems that have only been compounded by even more hare-brained public policy decisions.

You are right. Psychiatric help and treatments are completely inadequate both in the US and Canada. It is not just locking people up; it is about treatment and monitoring.
