Thats why i asked you guys (and gals) first. Lol. I can be very passionate sometimes about what i hold to my heart but im very aware im no "Charlie Kirk" (rip regardless of his opinions) when it comes to holding a debate.

So all you say is very true. It would probably backfire. My first tought was Sonia's podcast because i value her dearly and i know she would not attack me. But others could "clip it" indeed.

So based on replies i got here i will not do it.

Also thx @Sexy Judy and @Christina Di Milano , i read both your post entirely and apreciate your imputs. You bring good points. I agree with what you said.

Thx to everyone that contributed as well.
The main driving force against complete decriminalization of the prostitution is civilian women. It is obvious why, if you think about it. No politician would risk losing this part of the electorate.

Likely civilian women and MEN. Civilians period.
This is my personal experience. I have been trying to debate this topic with a few seemingly open-minded civilian women over some years and practically all of them became instantly agitated, negative and looking at me with suspicion. The reaction from men even if negative (minority) was much more tempered in comparison.

Where do you get this information? I have no evidence either but i would think its hypocritical conservative men in charge who are driving force.

Women in most countries are deadset against it because it devalues their more informal sex for relationship business model :)

Women can be truly harsh on “easy women”. Men in general don’t care - very conservative men talk a little but it is low on their priority list

I know im an anomaly lol. As someone put it its rare familly members and friends know you meet escorts as a client. But personally im not ashamed of it. I had so much love and tenderness by providers and im grateful so much about it. And im not saying i am all mellow rainbows. I spoke as well "as a client" when i tought things were unfair for them. I never pretended to know it all lol. I want the best for both providers and clients. I surely made mistakes and im.sure some providers don't like me (most i never met). Personally i wish it was not the case but its kinda impossible to please everyone in life...

All i can do is do as best as i can as me...

But yes i defended the industry in front of friends and familly multiple times. And i always cringe when they say the "P word" and correct them using "escort". I mean if Sonia want to use it to reapropriate it...its all fine its her right but myself i say "escorts" when talking about it.

Im sure you all saw THE 40 YEARS OLD VIRGIN with Steve Carell. Fun movie. I would be him now if not for meeting escorts. And who knows what else... Instead i had sex with women as beautiful as in my Vivid movies as a teenager. I learn so much as well about the industry as i got (in various degrees) close to both providers, bookers, agency owners etc. Im grateful for all that.

I know there is toxicity and dangers in this business. Of course ! On both sides. But surely more on women side. It sucks ! Its not ok. And i want to help make it better for sure. As best as i can.

We can all do our part. In various degrees.

Again, you can say that and I can say the opposite but neither of us has evidence

But i want your opinion as in would you guys trust me to represent you guys in medias? Like not merb per say as an entity of course but clients overall.
Can you post a Youtube video? If you don't want to show your face, wear the Halloween Michael mask or have some graphics/videos in the background with your voice only. This avoids debate.

Like im some kinda criminal . Thats not credible. They protect the identity of victims cause they are victims. Im not a victim.

The whole point would had been to show that yes im a normal person. I use escort services. Im not ashamed of it.

Doing it masked would give the opposit vibe. Aka im a dirty ashamed criminal and i don't want peoples to know. And thats not me.

I read all your reply and it seem unanimous that it is not a good idea. I understand and respect this.

To answer Wildstar particulary, its true that some post should be badly interpreted and no i don't have any communication training. When i tought about that i was more thinking on how i was "an average joe" and not the doctor, lawyer and celebrities they talk about. Yes i am in my early 40s, but i been seeing escorts since i was 24 ... Would have younger if i found it before lol. I don't feel i changed much since my 20s. Well physically yes but i mean mentaly. Ill admit in my case i don't see the issue of a 40 years old client seeing a 26 years old escort... But its me. But yeah i would probably get beaten at the debate if the guy would be hostile.

And thanks especially also Christina for the detail reply. A lot of good points.
Well I would trust you but I wouldn't trust public and various opinions :)

I believe that to fully understand the reach of your testimony ones need to have been immersed in this environment/industry for a while.
And even if that's the case, ones personal preference will alter your sharing.

My take is the same as driving: you can be a careful driver but you can't control bad drivers.

i have often thought that we need more representation from "good clients" in this societal debate. What would be kinda interesting is there was a new some kinda of new association like l'Organisme Luttant Contre La Fausse Représentation des Consommateurs de Services Sexuels" . with hundreds of members. You could get government financing lol.

Jokes aside, ultimately it has to start with the sex workers themselves to deny these mainstream stereotypes. If they could be accompanied by a group of ''good clients'' by their side it could have more impact and get more attention.

@Halloween Mike maybe you can get on a show where they blur your face and change your voice. That way you protect yourself. Media and viewers love those kinds of interviews.

Got it...would you be comfortable making a Youtube video with your face shown? I have seen Youtubers giving guided doors in Red Light Districts in Asia.

You may think you’re normal and maybe people here on Merb may agree with you.
The media would portray you as a pervert and predator. They would dissect your reviews and make you look evil.

You think soccer moms reading it would want their daughters to grow up and be sucking a 40 year olds dick who wants to cum on their face and body.
You think any parent would be in agreement with this and think you are normal.
This is the reality you would be facing.

The public is not ready to accept the hobby as a natural and acceptable way for people to have companionship they are continually faced with the negative reporting of a dark predatory world were women are victims, they are trafficked and used by evil men for monetary gain.
This is what sells and it would be political suicide for politicians to go against this.

I don’t hate women at all. Am just saying thay most anti-prostitution advocacy is woman-led.

And to be fair, I don’t even think most of them are disingenuous. I think some truly empathize with the plight they imagine prostitutes live through (while men can’t empathize as directly). They can also empathize with wives and girlfriends of clients who lose out financially and emotionally to their partner using prostitutes.

Not a single man in my network has reposted the enquete show but a few women did.

Of course.

If you’re trying to inform the general population that most clients aren’t blood-sucking doctors, you clearly need to wear a serial killer mask, obviously!
Since Mike's avatar is Michael in Halloween, I wasn't thinking if he needs to wear as mask, he might want to wear Michael's mask. I wasn't thinking LOL

I would bet not a single client here believes that the nordic model (that targets clients) is a good thing. Have never seen a single post supporting this!

And you are wrong that advocacy does not make or break laws. No politicians want to be on the right but controversial side of a moral panic…

You are 100% correct that the political and legal crackdown against this industry cannot be blamed on civilian women. That is a lazy explanation.

What hes getting at imo is that when confronted with the subject, women generally react with disgust at the industry towards both the SPs and the men that use them. The cynical side of my brain thinks it's because it undermines their power in intersexual dynamics...that may be a terminally online POV though idk.

Dudes on the other hand just shrug and dismiss the women as victims and the johns as losers but don't feel too strongly about them either way.
