The idea that being French and/or francophone means having a laissez-faire attitude to anything related to sex is a myth. It'a not true in France and it's not true in Quebec. Quebeckers do generally have tolerant attitudes towards premarital sex, birth control, abortion, and people's personal and private sex lives. But over recent decades a strong feminist movement has developed in Quebec and despite what some people say ("Well I'm a feminist and I support escorts") mainstream feminism is mostly anti-prostitution.

Of course, they say they support escorts and don't want them arrested, which is true, but they love the current "Nordic Law" which criminalizes clients but not escorts. The feminists refuse to acknowledge that this is a dumb law that effectively makes it more difficult and dangerous to work as an escort. It's all about good intentions!

Also, there are still elements of Quebec society that are very conservative, sometimes religious and family oriented. Most Montreal escorts come from the francophone population and a lot of people don't like that. Families worry that their daughters will get sucked into the escort lifestyle and they don't like that possibility.

France also has a Nordic Law on prostitution and the situation is similar though French police are much less tolerant of agencies. The elites in Montreal somewhat slavishly follow social trends in France so it's not surprising that attitudes towards questions of sex are very similar in France and Quebec.
Spot on.

Quebec is feminist. That means it supports sexual activities and work as long as it is along feminist values (drag queens, LGBT parades where guys flash their dicks to kids etc…)

However as soon as a normal hetero guy can be seen to take any form of pleasure they are instantly against it. Hetero male sexual interests and exploration are seen as inherently evil and abusive.

Interesting remark. The reporter in this case is, as we all know, french from France, which had a little tinge of patronization..

Quebec is under some influence from France but we have our own particularities and there is also the western zeitgeist at play.

Here we have “liberals” against heterosexual male exploitation and “conservatives” against sex/liberals. There are almost no group who can defend any form of escorting because some people are silently in favor while escorts are enfantilized as always victims. There is also enough bad situations in escorting that can mask the good side.

I think elites like politicians and police tend to the controversy of the day but know it goes away so a lot of what they do is performative. Agencies and massage parlors are very well known (some even advertized on the street) yet interventions mostly try to stop extremely negative behaviors (we all agree). More importantly they talk a big game which calms the normies even if nothing is done. Think about the moral panic around every f1 grand prix. Bla bla bla but nothing gets done.

Talking about western zeitgest, this video criticizes the judicial system in Australia but could have been about Canada - we are that similar.

You might be into something here. High End Escorte that often matches hetero standard of beauty looked for by powerful Man, even if they tell you they're feminist, they Do not act like IT. They often would love to have a suggar Daddy or be à Trophy wives/House wives to powerful man while they have acces to free trips, free money etc. It's really two different World's...Hell all this thread here and you can see the type of SP that are preoccupied by the situation vs the one being silent. SP arent at all a monolitic groupe and a certain groupe are fine with how things work at the moment because they're in a different classe/appeal

Wait until you see how they treat women who profit from their sexuality. Or even women who are sexual in general lol. Men only love sluts when they can own them or when the slut caters to them, and other women hate sluts period.

I see way more bad comments and opinions regarding female sex workers than I do regarding our clients and our male colleagues tbh

(I will say, I read this comment out of context so sorry if I'm missing context. I am not going back to read pages of discourse)

I beleive their is a wide range of client and SPs that are in this field for different purpose. You have guys who are lonely and would love to have to gf/companion but didn't find the one yet for multiple reasons. They have a high sexe drive, so masturbation isn't an option. They often have regulars SP they see and can be victim of catching feelings. These type of clients often are gentle and want the SP to enjoy herself as if he was in a real relation.

On the other Hand, you have clients who sees SPs to fufill some needs their current gf/wife can fuffil. Clients who has a "Hatem" like mindset and focus specificaly in their pleasure. I beleive these kind of clients are more difficult because they see more of the encounter as a transaction. Want speficic position etc.

The scoap is really large. If I take myself for exemple. The moment i'm sry relationship wise with someone, you Wont see me here. Others are different tho

Is Toronto a better place for the hobby now, considering my regulars XO and Euphoria are both now extinct?

Or is incall with a place like V better? Or are F or S still viable notions?

Maybe we should start a thread with Euphoria roster migrations, or should we just go to the individual's page to do that?
