I've been writing maybe one cheque a year, if that, for the last 10 years. I just used the last cheque I had and I'll probably never write another cheque again. I'm not sure whether I'm happy about generally not having to use cheques anymore or whether I'm sad because an era has just died for me.

There's days for everything. My favorite is Talk Like a Pirate Day, which is on Sept. 19th every year. When I was running teams we used to do this internally every year and it was a fun, harmless way to de-stress everyone. Did it for about 6 years running. Very apropos for this board too...

I don't think so, at least not in my case. Speaking only for myself I don't get horny because I'm bored, and hey, we've all been there. Sometimes the sex is boring too! :D

I think you might need to add an "other" or "none of the above" category. I would also say that most of the responses above seem to be tied to an emotional or complex reason and often it can boil down to simply being horny, and nothing deeper than that.
