Any Predictions For Strip Clubs After Smoking Ban?

Any other post-ban "cigar bar" recommendations besides Stogies? Looking for a place with a little life, like Cigar Masters on Boylston in Boston. Thanks.

This is what a bottle of real Pernod Absinthe looks like: http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-8/1056973/06-22-06_1438.jpg (That's my hand. :D )

It seems to ...at least for that evening. Why do you think I have it? ;)

The laides seem to like it too. :D The burning cube was a recipe I found a few years ago when investigating sources for the green fairy. There are several recipes that are interesting, including a 1:1 mix of cognac and absinthe. Interesting where the cognac is the mixer, "watering down"...

    Buying Absinthe online.

From my weak French, I surmise that it is a restaurant in Montreal. They can't sell the real absinthe (with the wormwood); it's illegal to do so in Canada. As the previous post said, the ersatz absinth has very little to do with the real thing. (I think it's easier to mistake Tennessee...

That would be the one without the wormwood, so it's not absinthe (absinthe comes from the latin name for wormwood, Artemisia absinthium). Calling something "absinthe" without absinthium is just not right, but what they do when the real thing cannot be sold. As I noted above, the missing "e" is...

Not when it's made in France. ;) Log into the web site as being from France, and you will see there is Pernod, and Pernod Absinthe (Pernod aux extraits de plantes d'absinthe). Sure it has anise, but to be real absinthe, it has to have the wormwood for the thujone...

Any lovely ladies interested in sharing some of the green fairy next week? (Jun 28-Jul 3) :) (PMs work.)

It's like Cuban cigars in the US. Not illegal to have, just illegal to import and sell in Canada and the US. Sure, you can see a bottle of Pernod in a bar, but it's made without the wormwood, and thus no thujone.

If you are serious, send me a PM. I'll be up there next week and might have a wee bit 'o the green fairy for comparisons. ;) What brand do you have now, and what's your favorite?

Just did a taste test between Pernod (the real thing) and Rodnik's Cannabis. Rodnik's Cannabis tasted very poor, inferior to every commercial absinthe I have tasted. I had hoped that it would taste like regular absinthe but with an added flavor, but this was not the case. (Still, the lady and...

Redheads and The Drama of the Gifted Child

No, I was just writing a message to a guy on another board about a certain redhead we both enjoy in bed, but who is a real mess out of it. That's when I made the Alice Miller connection. But yes, I have seen that episode of South Park. As with much of that show, it's mostly based on social...

The Green Fairy Watch out for the Hills. A friend recently picked up a bottle of that at the airport over there as a present. When we tasted it, it had no wormwood. (If you are used to the real thing, it's EASY to tell.) The Hills bottle said "Absinth" not "Absinthe." Often dropping the...

Redheads and The Drama of the Gifted Child

Contemplating the consistent unique qualities of redheads, I finally made a connection to Alice Miller's "The Drama of the Gifted Child." As I recall childhood and elementary school, the redheads, both male but more so female, were ostracized socially. They were often treated as objects...

    about that no-review policy

You got me right between the eyes on that one, little girl. (Too bad you are not a redhead!) Actually, the last review search I did was for an SP that had one of those typical locked negative review threads. I am different from the median Merbite, and all the negative things posted were...

    about that no-review policy

SFRedBook has the same, called PinkBook: http://www.mypinkbook.com/cgi-bin/dcforum2/dcboard.pl Except that for the RB software, you declare your sex, and you just can't post there unless you are a heart. SFRedBook also does not let the hearts post in the general 411 section. (I guess we...

    about that no-review policy

Uncle Kracker's suggestion would work fine, with the caveat that the SP could post a "bad-breath" rebuttal, if necessary, through the Mods. That's the key. They don't have to agree 100%, but each "no review" SP should be invited to comment on the plan - whatever it is.
