But there was nobody on the bus. Those people left the bus and were no longer in danger. The jury cannot buy fiction, they can only buy facts.
A charge of murder in the second degree requires proof beyond a reasonable doubt he intended to kill the teenager

So who decides whether the police officer is guilty or not? A judge? Do canadian tribunals have juries? Because I can not see a jury see that as anything other than murder. Who shoots a man 7 times AFTER they are down if the intent is not to kill? This kid was not aggressive, drunk or on any PCB like substances as far as I know. There was no attempt to save this kids life. Sure the kid was troubled but anybody with a brain can see that common sense was not used in this case.

I love how these cops get suspended with pay. I guess as a cop all you have to do to get a paid vacation is shoot someone.

Historically any Police in the Toronto Force charged with murder has always walked. I think that reckless homicide / manslaughter is the best that could be expected.
My own theory is that the cop was responding to being called a "fucking pussy" by the perp, which you can hear on the video. He wanted to prove that he was not a "fucking pussy." I think that is basically what happened here.
