The habs have lost 4 of their last 5 games and have averaged less than a goal per game during that stretch. Never say never, but i'd be extremely surprised to see them come back and win that series considering they're heading to Tampa for their next two games and haven't beaten them a single time this season. Carey Price was in the net for all of those games.

By the way, Victor Hedman has had a tremendous 2nd half of the season. He's clearly outplayed P.K. Subban during these series & even members of the media that i know have privately stated to me that had Hedman played this way the entire season, he very likely would have ended up on their Norris trophy ballot ahead of either Subban or Daughty.

You have to keep bring back stuff that happened two years ago instead of admitting that the team you cheer for sucks.

Typical Holliday BS and fiction.

You say the Wings suck (are you referring to the Wings that you famously - and incorrectly as usual - predicted would miss the playoffs 5 years in a row?) - did you check the standings this season? Take a peek. Then compare the "sucking" Wings to your truly magnificent Leafs, with "future Hall of Famer" Phil Kessel and "Captain Canada" Dion Phaneuf. Then reflect on all the false crap you've spouted about the two teams.

They were lucky to even beat Ottawa. Had Ottawa started Anderson from the start, they probably would have won in 5 games.

Yeah... and had Gordie Howe chosen to be a boxer instead of a hockey player he "probably would have won" the World Heavyweight Championship.

Then again, there is a difference between fantasy and reality.

The reality is that Montreal beat Ottawa...and certain people who proudly bet a lot of money (" a lot") on Ottawa are probably regretting yet ANOTHER bad decision in their long, long streak of bad decisions. Other people are just laughing. (Ha ha ha.)

I just might add that soon and very soon, he will say that, without Dion Phaneuf, Phil Kessel, Joffrey Lupul, Jonathan Bernier and the

rest of the team ( for a few exemptions, who....I have no idea ) would have made the playoffs A N D won the Stanley Cup

THIS YEAR !! Go figure, strange how the mind works.

P.S. I still say, The Wings should have won it in 6.
Monteal and Detroit would have been a GREAT series. Too Bad

In their last 6 games, the habs have scored 7 goals while the Montreal Impact has scored 10 goals against world-class opponents. That says it all!

There is still a good chance that the Canadiens will score more playoff goals this year alone than the Leafs did in the last 11 years. That says it all!

There are 30 teams in the NHL. Only 4 will get out of the second round. Does that mean that the other 12 which made the playoffs are garbage? If so, what does that say about the 14 which didn't even get invited to the dance?

Look behind you.
Kind of sucks that there will be no Canadian teams after this round.

I agree, but for me the reasons are somewhat selfish. I've made so much money betting against the habs lately that i will definitely miss that extra revenue once they're eliminated by TB (knock on wood! lol).

All it means is that their billionaire owners lost out on a bit of revenue & the players got a headstart on the golf course.

Detroit joined the Leafs & Flyers on the golf course last week, and this weekend it'll be the overrated Habs. It's just a question of time & nothing can escape the innevitable. ;)

I'm a true hockey fan and not a member of a cult, unlike many of you guys who know nothing about the great game of hockey. By being a true fan, this means that i cheer for more than one hockey team. Sure, Toronto is one of my teams. But i also cheer for Ottawa, Tampa, Calgary and the Rangers, among others. And indeed, i also cheer for every single team that plays against the habs. :D

Go Hawks!!!! :thumb:

MTL 0 - TBL 3

SOG : Mtl 104 / TBL 78

It could have been 2-1 Montreal, but it's 3-0 TBL... Sport... We beat them 4-0 last year, they probably will beat us 0-4 this year... Sport...

That was a nice season, too bad we faced our pet peeve so early..

Wow... That was heartbreak. Even as a neutral party - I'm sorry, Habs fans, that sucked. You deserved better tonight.
