Texans got 'right guy' as QB Stroud makes history

Texans rookie C.J. Stroud became the first QB in NFL history to pass for at least 900 yards with four passing touchdowns and zero interceptions over his first career starts.

So far CJ Stroud has been the most impressive of the 3 highly drafted rookie QBs taken in the first 4 picks. The knock on Bryce Young so far (size and durability) are looking like legit concerns. It's a scary situation to protect a smaller QB with a weak offensive line. The knock on Stroud, on the other hand, had been his very low Wonderlic score, but so far the people who questioned it are the ones looking like dummies. The Colts' Anthony Richardson had also played very well, but was running too much, and despite his massive size and strength being his best asset, he is in concussion protocol from taking big hit on a TD run against the Texans. On that play, he did not look very alert to where the potential tacklers were on defense, and needed to get down or run wide. Instead, he got clocked.
