He was directly responsible for 2 Panthers goals. Paul Bissonnette was ready to bench him- they isolated his 1 on 4 giveaway and the other play where he skated away from the puck and the entire right side opened for the Panthers. Go watch the tape! Marner lost that game.
Paul Bissonette is a big mouth & often acts like an idiot. But i still find him funny & love him because he’s as big a Leafs fan that i am. He’s one of my cousins, by the way. Met him a few times when he was a teenager.

If the players want the NHL to hand out bigger fines all they have to do is negotiate for it in the next collective bargaining agreement. The NHL would be more than happy to accommodate them! Lol
His GAA is 3.48 and his save % is .851 through 11 playoff games. These are very weak numbers.
As I said earlier, Jake has taken this series as a personal challenge to show USA Hockey that he and not Hellebuyck should be the #1 national team goalie. He was raised as the #1 goalie as Jake was #1 in his age group ahead of Joseph Woll and Jeremy Swayman back in their USA World Junior days. Hellebuyck is 3 years older than these guys, and Jake feels it's his turn now as he enters his goalie prime years. I think a strong statement has been made in these playoffs that for Team USA Jake is #1, Woll is #2 and Hellebuyck is #3 on the depth chart, going forward. Swayman isn't making the team. Jake is DA MAN!!!!!!!!
