I haven’t been following them much this offseason. Is Antonio Pierce still their head coach? If so that’s great. Who’s their QB? That’ll be the key. But they lost Jacobs to free agency I believe. That’ll hurt. They still have a good defence & of course the great Devante Adams. Should be an interesting year.
Hi Doc…. I was writing about the Steelers…

My apologies. Who is the Steelers new OC?
As i mentioned earlier i think the Steelers may surprise a lot of teams this season with Russell Wilson & Justin Fields as the QB’s. However they may be weak at the WR & RB positions so if they don’t address that issue there’s so much the QB can do.

Mahomes May Have a New Deep Threat in X
He ran a 4.21 at the NFL combine, fastest ever in combine history. He is blazing fast. He was very productive as a WR for Texas, but at 160 pounds, will they keep him on the field? Gaby this is for you, from today's practice- awesome pass by Mahomes, amazing catch by Worthy:

Many were surprised that the Bills passed on him & it’s possible that they hadn’t recruited or been in contact with him much if they hadn’t expected him to drop in the draft & be available when their turn came. Or maybe Keon Coleman at 6’3 was already ahead of him on their depth chart. It’s entirely possible that his small stature kept teams away.

I’d like to see Mahomes try this in a real game. It was an amazing trick play but had it not worked it would have looked stupid on his part. But i’ll give him the credit for pulling it off.

The regular season is only a couple of weeks away! Can’t wait! Can’t wait for the season to start & can’t wait to start betting big bucks on the NFL again! Lol

Horrible preseason for both QBs.
Take a look at the Steelers schedule. I don’t see how they win any more than 8 games.

The AFC is very strong this year with many contenders to make it to the Superbowl. Teams like KC & Baltimore lead the pack. But Miami, the Jets, the Bills, Houston, Cincy & Cleveland will contend. The Pats will likely be the worse team in the conference.

In the NFC the Niners, Eagles & Lions are expected to dominate & one of these three teams will likely make it to the Superbowl. But the Cowboys, Rams & Packers won’t be pushovers & the Bears with their defence will surprise many teams. I don’t expect much from the Giants, Vikings, Falcons or Saints (sorry Gaby). Who will be the two Superbowl teams? I have no idea!

I think you’re spot on. I’d be extremely surprised if the SB winner didnt come from your list. I’ll toss Cincy in there as well, assuming Chase plays.
I not big on the Bills (injuries), or the Rams (no Donald) this year.

I forgot about Cincy. I’ll add it to the list.

Matt Milano is the biggest injury the Bills have. He’s a great player but every season they lose him to injury. A good thing about his injury happening prior to the season is that he could return in December just in time for the playoffs.

I was talking about the Bills with a buddy of mine earlier today. He asked me to make a bet that the Bills wouldn’t make the playoffs. Since i’m a Bills fan agreed to bet with him. He believes that they’re too weak at the WR position to succeed. I disagreed. Just because Stephon Diggs is gone doesn’t mean they’re weaker. For one he had become a huge distraction around the team over the past two seasons. He was disgruntled & it was starting to negatively affect the team. So bad that even though trading him hurt them badly cap-wise they decided to bite the bullet & unloaded him to Texas, who may ne one of the teams they’ll battle for a playoff spot. Diggs’ production considerably deteriorated last season & he kept complaing he wanted the ball thrown to him more often & when they did he dropped balls in critical situations! As for losing Gabe Davis same story. He was invisible in half the games he was in last season & had many drops. To me his loss is a non-factor.

They replaced these two players with Curtis Samuel & Keon Coleman. Kalil Shakir becomes their #1 reveiver after having a very productive season last year. Marquez Valdez-Scantling came from the Chiefs & will be expected to make big plays if he hangs on to the ball. Rookie Ray Davis as the back-up running back is expected to be used as a pass catching back in passing situations. And then of course their great tight end Dalton Kinkaid will be in his 2nd year & can also be used as a slot receiver if Dalton Knox takes up his spot as the tight end. I’m not worried at all about the receiving corps because Diggs’ absence means the ball will be distributed evenly among the receivers. Plus the fact offensive coordinator Joe Brady will be calling the shots all season is big! The team played extremely well last season the minute he replaced Ken Dorsey. And Von Miller is healthy again!

Tonight’s season opener is Ravens vs Chiefs (-3).

I’m picking the Chiefs. The game means more to the Ravens but they lost key players during the offseason & the Chiefs got better. Plus the game is at Arrowhead & on national tv. Taylor Swift will also be in attendance. Easy win by the Chiefs!
