OK, the Olympics hasn't started yet but the training for it is in the intense final stages. On that note here is the terrifying run of 4 man U.S. Bobsled driver Kris Horn after his 3 teammates crashed out of the bobsled early in the race, leaving Horn to navigate an extremely light, unstable bobsled hurtling down the mountain at speeds in excess of 120 km/hour! Horn managed to steady the bobsled and scoot to the back and hit the brakes at the end of the run, but it was a truly terrifying run that could have ended in death:

At 41 years old, she will be high on my list of athletes to watch. Just phenomenal. Also, her presence will be a relief for the all-time champion, men or female, Mikaela Shiffrin, who completely blew out her last Olympics.

I want the hockey US team to fail miserably... They should have had Hutson and Caufield on their lineup!

Norovirus spreading in the olympic village can play â big part in the out come, especialy for team sports. It is very hard to control such virus in a promicuous environnement.

Agree with you on both counts, really disapointing that the US hockey team did not pick the 3rd top scorer in The league and a Calder winner/serious Norris contender. WTF??? But although I am said for Caufield and Hutson, they will have a good rest before the rest of the season so it is only good for the Habs.

Can’t wait to see how Vonn does, really hoping for the best for her and that she does not further injure her knee.

It's especially unfortunate because if healthy, she had a solid chance to win the gold medal in the women's downhill based on recent performances. Instead, American Breezy Johnson, who was similarly knocked out of the 2022 Olympics by injury, won and took home the gold.
