Not only am I one of the lucky ones, clearly I am also underpaid!! Why do I suddenly not feel so lucky?

Please allow me to make you even more depressed - remember that we are overtaxed in Canada !

On the bright side, hobbying in Montreal is cheaper than in the U.S. of A !!!...and of course, we have Montreal, which the Americans do not. BTW I hear that the last issue of Gourmet magazine, featuring Montreal, is so scarce that it is now going on eBay for $40.

That's the only "dirty" part of the job. Otherwise, it is a job that does not require any intellectual or physical efforts and brings a lot of money.

I went to a dentist 2 years ago and thought that 2 visits would be enough to fix the pb I had. I was completely wrong, he kept finding things to fix in my mouth that I was visiting the clinic almost on a weekly basis for more than 2 months, until I reached the quota of my dental care plan. The last time I visited, he performed a route canal without freezing around the tooth. That route canal made me decide not to go there again, never.

Spiderman: I guess you're not familiar with the expression"down in the mouth" - it means unhappy.

I think dentistry can be a scam - imagine being charged $100+ after being in the chair for under 10 minutes. I had a couple of root canals that did not take extremely long and were not very painful until I went to pay - $950 each time. Thank god for dental plans, but even then I had to pay about $250 out of my own pocket.

Dentist

When I go see my dentist, all I can see are $$$ signs in his eyes.

When I first saw him, he racked up huge bills, thank god for the dental plan at my job.

Nowadays, he gets only annual inspection and cleaning. He seems to be disappointed.
