I was thinking if the forum can establish a a ndl list
Not to do list
Where we can list providers that many bad reviews such as catch and bait, cleaning less, dangerous etc...
This will benefit all members
It's up to the mods to establish the parameters of that list and only them should add providers to that list

Also it will benefit the genuine providers since we will not be wasting time and money with those fount in the ndl list or if you prefer black list

EB,

gotta admit would be amazing to see some spring cleaning in all the stickies. Some are terribly outdated. Also, perhaps adding a vbulletin feature that forces people to read them before being allowed to post would probably also prevent a lot of unnecessary posts ... but that is the life of a forum sadly. Its the same in any site i'm a member of (not just escort sites).

It's not exactly the same
Again it would be the mods that will decide on the black list providers
It will be an abbreviated list example

Xyz: fake photos, no gfe
Abc: no show
Zyc: hygiene

Etc

The thread that EB pointed to with his link has only 3 posts and they are somehow outdated. (Part 2)The full thread (part 1) has over 450 post in it. Some are probably still actual, but my guess is there are probably 350/450 posts that are outdated. Some are from 2005! I did not check all of them, but it looks like post before page 30 in this thread are about 3 years old or more. Just an idea, but it might be a good idea to clean it a bit. What do you guys think? I don't know exactly when these posts become outdated, but those that are over 2 years old could probably be removed without much risk. I'm not as expereinced as a lot of you guys, but it appears that most SP with bad service or B&S do not last very long with the same ID or contact infos. They tend to change it quite ofter, hence the 2 years old and older post probably become obsolete. Not to add that most of us usually do not go back 2 years to check the background of a lady that picked our attention. Am I right?Frank

It's never going to happen for these reasons:

(1) The Mods are unpaid volunteers, they are not compensated private investigators who collect information and who actually have the time to do what you are suggesting they do;

(2) As demonstrated by the sticky threads on this subject, they were largely ignored proving over time they were useless based on the many one off threads that showed the poster hadn't bothered reading warnings that had been posted for months or years;

(3) if you guys bothered to read those threads you will see that some of the B&S providers were MERB advertisers, so how do you realistically think the Mods would overcome the conflict of interest you would foist upon them? Answer: they won't, and can't, because they are unpaid volunteers who operate at the behest of those who own the board (much like Comey operated at the pleasure of Trump).

You guys need to be realistic. The best you are gonna do is expect members to update the existing sticky threads. Since it hasn't happened in 12 years and still hasn't happened, this thread kind of proves the uselessness of the endeavor.

Basically, it's a Buyer Beware situation. Do business with well known and well reviewed agencies and you probably have less risk. Use relatively unreviewed agencies and providers and you assume the risk. There are plenty of MERB members who willingly take on that risk as demonstrated by the many "one off" threads which really only established that they had not done any research and took a chance. One guy even posted that because an advertiser was on MERB, he thought they were necessarily above board, vetted and approved. Why he would have thought that is beyond me because to my knowledge MERB and its Mods ain't doing background checks before they accept advertising payments. Do you do background checks on your clients? Come on now.

I see you point but one thing is for sure. No one has the time to go through a 40+ pages thread just to see if a SP he is intered in might be listed somewhere between post 200 and 334. In these situations, even the search function becomes somewhat useless. Hence the thread is ignored. It's pretty much an encyclopedia without an index.

Starting a new one and havin them listed by year would make more sense I guess (Bad service and B&S 2017). At least this way you would not have to search 400+ posts to check on an SP and the onfo would be a lot more recent.

Look behind you.
Wht is wrong with the existing sesrch function to check on an escort? Why a whole new system to put the bad ones into?

Is it not against Merb Rules to do this? Didn't merb actually warned the advertisers that where Bait & Switching that if they use "fake pics" they have to put it in there ads that its a "look-a-like" and not the girl in question?

Personally i think if merb would allow plain Bait and Switching on the board, that would really not be good for anybody even if they make a few bucks out of it. It would hurt there credibility. Merb is known to be a mostly safe place for doing our kind of business.

As for the OP's idea, not much to add that indeed i don't think any mod would be willing to go trough 30 outdated pages to verify anything, and thats understable. I think its good when members post there bad experiences to warn others, it then become available in the search function so others can know.

Some peoples will always go againt the common sense tough, its part of them. They will call to an ads at 2 am for 130$/h to the worst neighborough and then will past a pimp waiting outside, knock on the door, realize its not the girl from the pictures and STILL THEY WILL PROCEED... just because there "horny" and want to empty themselves... Some also think they can roll the triple dices and get 3x6, ignoring that there is less than a 5% chance it actually happen. They hope to be that hot guy who found the gem at the lowest price possible :p

To my knowledge there is no formal regulation by MERB of its advertisers and there is no requirement that they post real pics otherwise their advertising checks will not be accepted. Most agencies photoshop their pics so what the actual definition of real pics is, is up in the air anyway. There would be no way for MERB to even handedly conduct any kind of regulation in this regard. If there are a bunch of complaints against one agency then maybe a warning gets issued, but HM do you really believe that their ad money stops getting taken? If such a board rule exists show it to me. I mean Sweet Montreal was an advertiser here for many years (they still might be for all that I know) and go read the endless posts about them in the B&S thread. Stop trying to rewrite a history of this board that didn't happen. I lived it. I recall endless complaints about MERB advertisers who posted fake pics or bait and switched. The response always was, "go read the sticky thread on B&S agencies." And it was tough luck if you didn't.

I have been here since 2003 when the MERB was started. Over the years there have been dozens of threads posted on the subject. iMHO most of the posters who started such threads were lazy or stupid and wanted MERB to hold their hands throughout the booking process to assure them of satisfactory results. HM do I need to hold your weenie when you go pee-pee? Of course not. This goes back to STN's point- what is wrong with the existing system assuming a pair of testicles hangs between your legs? You do the research and assume some risks and if you can't man up to that, time to find another "hobby."

I heard from an SP I know that Eros requires both blurred and unblurred version of the pictures, and a copy of photo ID. But they are also based in the Caymans and charge about $300 per month. But that only verifies that the person in the pictures is of legal age. It in no way guarantees that the person in the pictures is who will show up at your door if you use the contact info in the ad, nor do they assume responsibility for that.

MERB is a community board, and I think b&S and scam threads are the way to go.

By the way my own friend got bait and switched after I specifically warned him the pics were fake and he was dealing with an unknown Indy or agency. In fact it was a B&S agency posing as an Indy. He was bait and switched with a different girl. He tried to send the girl away and was threatened if he didn't give the girl $100. My friend's response to the threat was a counter-threat: "I would like to see you try and get past Hotel W Security to get that money." In the end he sent the girl away with $40. He has listened to me more since then.

Woaa calm down dude, it may be written but i feel the agressivity in the tone....

Actually i remember an agency that was issue warning because they where using fake pics. Couldn't remember the name but i remember it was the case. And we can say that most of the agencies here in 2017 use real pics. I have some doubt on 1 or 2 but most of merb is real, like 93% of it.

I know how to do my researches mind you and never had problems avoiding the scams, but not everybody is a seasoned vet like you or even me, despite arriving 6 years later than you, i seen a lot since i am here and learn a lot on this business so no i don't need you to hold my pee pee or whatever you called it... :der:

I vaguely do recall a warning but there is no rule that an agency post real pics or it gets suspended as an advertiser and it's money doesn't get taken. MERB does not and never has guaranteed that its advertisers will not bait and switch. As I mentioned Sweet Montreal is just one example. They were around for years and years and still may be, I haven't checked.

I circle back to my original point: if members regularly updated the existing threads or started a new sticky thread every year that's the best you will do but it will in no way guarantee anything. It will just provide information on the experiences of others. You sometimes have to read between the lines and take posts with a grain of salt because you only get one side of the story. When you see a pattern of complaints that usually means smoke and smoke can mean a fire.

HM no aggression intended but your post got me fired up.
