Some agencies add a watermark to the pictures of the girls. I understand that these agencies are trying to prevent other people/agencies from using those pictures without permission. On the other hand, some watermarks are very intrusive to the point that I have the impression that I am looking at the girl through a curtain. This might turn some guys on (the looking through the curtain part) and make them pick up the phone and book the hottie. Personally, I find excessive watermarks annoying and I usually do not spend much time on those sites let to pick up the phone and book an appointment. Besides, some programs allow removing those watermarks very easily, so this is not a bullet-proof copyright protection method.

What is your take on watermarks guy?

Hi all here a link for different solutions in preventing pics steel
http://www.dwuser.com/education/content/stop-the-thieves-strategies-to-protect-your-images/

Directly from source code
e Solutions
Blocking the Default Right-Click Menu

As I mentioned above, this method can be easily circumvented; it's only about blocking casual downloaders. If that's all the protection you need, though, it's a simple fix to add. Just add the following code to your page before the closing </body> tag:
<script type="text/javascript">
document.oncontextmenu = function(e) {
e = e || window.event;
if (/^img$/i.test((e.target || e.srcElement).nodeName)) return false;
**;
</script>

This script blocks the right-click menu from appearing when any image in the page is right-clicked. The menu will still appear for other content in the page; just not for images.

Can we really prevent internet thieves from stealing our pics ? No! not really a Webmaster wiz is hard to counter
Whatermark at least shows that the agency is at least trying to pre!vent it ,so I will use there services plus the watermarks will not prevent Google image or TinEye to find the pics ,the anti -pirate pics software !!!
Good luck to all

</script>

This is a very basic JavaScript hook (not to be confused with hooker) that listens to the contextmenu event (fired before showing the context menu event of your browser, that contains the "save image as..." item among others) and prevents the menu from popping up by returning false. Unfortunately/fortunately (depending on which side you are atanding), there are browser extensions that bypass this, for instance the RightToClick FF extension.

There is always a trade-off between security and convenience. The agencies that go over-board about protecting their pictures might turn off some potential clients. The only sure way to protect your pictures from being stolen is not to post them at all.

You are right of course its a trade off ! So the question is do you try or don't ?
Its like in every business what is better ?
Without appropriate reliable and credible statistic it will remain a vey difficult decision !
Most of the escort owners are not INTERNET savvy the rely on others skills and advice to make their choices !!
I have link the full article on my previous and made a small reference quote !!
Can you relly prevent internet pirates to still your pics ?
The solutions offered are there for common internet users not the braininess internet Wiz that can be hired anyways .
Nice topic
However if your putting Watermarks thinking you are fully protected or any other solutions !Think again !!!

I agree, that's the problem, also these others are not generally qualified to give such advice and some of them will try to screw the agency owner or the indy.

You are right on the bullseye again !
ITS seems that you have a pretty good INTERNET knowledge !
Keep it on !:thumb:
Warmest Regards

Very simple - I will never book with an agency that plasters watermarks all over a ladies picture.

How do you know its a watermark? Maybe the girls does actually have the Agency's name stamped on her ass. But don't worry about this, after c36 comes out , agencies will drop this practice quickly.
