Well so much for that little experiment! I must confess that I thought it just might take off.

First of all, what would qualify someone to be able to give a valid reveiw of an agency? How many times would he have had to have posted a review of one of their girls and over what period of time? If someone has never posted a SP review, should he be allowed to post an agency review? Someone who deals with a particular agency on a regular basis over a long period of time may have a different point of view than someone who has dealt with them once or twice in the same week.

Could agency reviews be useful? Maybe, but only if they were posted by experienced hobbyists who are respected on the board and have contributed a decent number of SP reviews from a variety of agencies to establish their credibility. Just saying that you have been around for many years and have seen X number of girls means nothing if the reviews aren't on the board to back up the claims.

As MERB stands at this moment, I think that anyone who wants to get a valid picture of an agency only has to do a search for the agency name and they will find tons of information in the various threads and reviews that are already on the board.

Consideration

The agency review concept has potential BUT would have to be integrated with the boards data bank of reviews and issues regarding the specific agency or ownership chain to advance beyond the potential stage. Almost by default a system of checks and balances would evolve.

All of this may be true concerning your criteria to qualify to write one. I can see many more issues, though, beyond this very specific focus. Some simply are averse to posting reviews. But you have a point. Personally, I don't see restricting anyone to post a review. What I do see is the manner in which that review would be handled. The biggest problem with reviews in general is often that they are very negative rather than positive. Posters do not engage in constructive criticism. They just criticize. Further if a suggestion is made for improvement it should be backed up with fact, example and sound reasoning. Otherwise it makes for rumour, innuendo and a narrow point of view. Training members to think and post this way just may not be viable from what I am seeing. I think that rather than expose agencies to the possibility of being unjustly portrayed to other members, perhaps the idea should simply be shelved. I do feel it was worth a look though. This is not to say that some agencies are not blameless for the shabby treatment of members from time to time. Perhaps another method can be found to encourage them to improve and to offer praise to the agencies who work so hard to achieve it. They definitely deserve the patronage of the members in reward.
