Bonjour,
It seems that the world isn't what it appears to be. Just like the PUA stuff on the surface appears like guys teaching other guys how to get women. In reality, it is primarily Gurus/Businessmen trying to get money from their students. Of course, it would be hard to know unless you become an 'Insider."
In the same way, I think the modeling world is not what it appears to be. For instance, I had an agency model roommate. She described the industry as "sink or swim," Only the top models were making any money; top models usually mean on famous magazines. Meanwhile, everyone else, even the ones who were signed, was not. The whole modeling career seemed like a "low-paid" gig. It would be difficult to live in an apartment in NYC or travel around to Italy or even Mexico with that kind of money.
Top Photographers: This surprised me, but it seemed the top photographer expected to get paid! Most of them seem to be legit into the craft and the money and can charge quite a bit on the hundreds of dollars. I met one, and he wanted to be a filmmaker. I doubt he was there trying to get laid or making Trade for Print(Free pictures in exchange for modeling).
The Other photographers: These guys are a mix back. For instance, some of them make the shoots in a hotel. It makes you wonder what goes down in the hotel.
Private Villa Crowd: Some photographers will organize a photoshoot at private villas. For instance, I knew an acquaintance who was a photographer, and he managed one in Tulum. It would have been 20 models, ten photographers, and whoever was the owner of the establishment. I did see on IG that some people were having a brief get-together after the shoot. But maybe, nothing went down, and everyone went to sleep early.
Qu'en pensez-vous?
