Are you back to work after the lockdown?

I have noticed that the cars do not move as often on my street as they did from a year ago. I suspect 40-50% of people are still staying home. As for myself I am on about half hours until the company gets back to normal. Who knows when that will be, if ever. Are you back to normal?

Occasionally I get up early and watch people going off to work.
It brings back bad memories and once I had a nightmare of being back at work.
It is great to be retired, I do miss the people I worked with though, but it is better to be with them on the golf course or at a restaurant.

I took 2 months off to be with the kids during the epidemic. Came back to Alberta since the TransMountain pipeline was about to start up again. Been on sites with 1,000 people and surprisingly no one got the virus, weird.

Been working from home since late January when my company activated its Business Continuity Plan after Wuhan was locked down. Blessed to be able to work from home as long as I want.

Many so-called ‘essential workers’ don’t have that luxury. Hope they can stay safe & be rewarded for their sacrifices.

Bump..... Still working on the TransMountain pipeline, got my son working with me now, my daughter next summer university break as an environmentalist ( student ). This is supposed to be done by 2022 but we doubt it, cleanup should be done sometime 2023 then I retire. Get 2 weeks at Christmas then 6 weeks sometime Mar or April. Get this, the total cost will probably be just over $30 billion taxpayers dollars. In Clearwater BC, still not one case of this virus, lots of out of town workers, pubs open, restaurants open.
