Visiting Montreal this week. Looking for places with nice eye candy without seeming (too) creepy.

would help if you specified the type of venue / age group . you can find "eye candy" pretty much anywhere

Okay, my friend, here is the best advice and recommendations. Le Cathcart on Thursday is the best 5-7. The city is teeming with office workers and business owners. You have the best 30- 40-year-old chicks you'll ever see in this city. The atmosphere is lovely, as are the office's chics. From bank tellers to lawyers, secretaries, and real estate agents. I recommend going at 4 p.m. because that place gets very crowded and quickly. The first wave is people who I mention, then from 7-11pm you have the second wave, which is people from the nightlife, if you're lucky, you might see some sp's and strippers on the second wave. You can thank me later.

40's? I went there all lo tin my 20's. I always thought it was a college hang out, but I guess we all get older!
I think it’s a decent mix of age groups. It’s a restaurant as well so you’re going to see 40s-60s at the bar or a nearby table ordering food.

Interesting thread. Any suggestions on opening lines with hotties here in Montreal?.

I try and think of different ones all the time. Something subtle. Some work. Some don't.

In Europe, you can be more direct. I spent a lot of time there in the past 20 years.

I was thinking about having a T-shirt made with a bold sign that says :

" I am a SP for female hotties". Let's see how many ask me what SP means. LoL.

I had the chance to try some of these spots, definitely there’s a younger crowd than I expected and very loud. It was massively crowded Cathcart and hard to get a spot, I tried mckibbins and it’s a great bar but full of a younger crowd that for me tends to be too noisy for and my pal to grab a beer and chat. Would you say that I’d find better luck around mile end?

I went also to Midways in St Laurent, and old spot I liked many many years ago, definitely it became kinda a night club and we felt absolutely out of place and we were quite uncomfortable with the younger crowd getting hammered ( we are in pur 50s). I’m might be too old but I would appreciate your recommendations for a calm place to have a pint and chat around downtown.

Cathcart is currently the trendiest bar for Thursday 5-7. I concur that it tends to be congested and challenging to navigate to locate a spot. If you intend to attend a supper club and be ease I suggest to try Lapalma, it's advisable to arrive early as the ambience is generally peaceful. However, as the evening progresses, it may get quite noisy due to a combination of the music and the growing crowd. I suggest reserving a table at 6PM and planning to arrive early. If you desire a sophisticated and peaceful atmosphere with plenty of social interaction, Marcus is the perfect choice regardless of the ages. The ambiance is divided into two sections, with one side featuring a multitude of bars and the other side boasting an exquisite restaurant that serves delectable dishes. When seeking a spacious and attractive rooftop terrace, Clara is the premier destination as it boasts a lively ambiance. Best of luck my friend, feel free to send me a private message if you have any questions about the nightlife scene in Montreal.
