Can anyone give me a precise update on check-in procedures at both St-Jacques and Sherbrooke east locations:
If you come with vehicle do they ask to see the registration if you pay cash?
If you come without vehicle (taxi) do they ask to see ID if you pay cash?
Thanks

Maybe the General Manager at Chablis needs to be talked to about the ID issue. Alternatively, maybe hobbyists may need to get fake ID's. Ahhhhh, those teenage years of using fake ID's to buy beer and getting into dance clubs. I agree. If a guest pays cash, no ID should be required. Oh, they can ask for a returnable deposit, if the purpose is to ensure that no excessive charges will go unpaid.

Just give them what they want. A vehicle brand, colour & plate number. They don't ask for your registration nor go search for your car. That would be a silly, counter-productive waste of time.

Dont worry about it, if you pay cash they dont even ask for ID or you can give medicare IF they ask.

The SP will come straight to your room she doesnt need to go through the front desk.

Goodluck, have fun and let us know of your adventure!

Last time I was there, in 2009, I parked in the street and paid cash. Nonetheless, they asked me for ID and photocopied my *king driver's licence. Horrible situation for any normal paranoid guy. In any other venue I would have protested but hey, they know your date is arriving and it's too late to find another place.

Off-topic: I love it when these old threads pop up. You start reading and, for a moment, say: wow, lawless or SL or GG is back!
(Sorry mods)

Just to answer my own previous query. Was at the Chablix Cadillac recently and check-in is the same

If you come by taxi just say you are parked in the lot and make up a car make/model and licence plate number. They do not ask to see registration. Same thing if you park in the street.

I was recently at the Chablis St-Jacques. If you say you are parked in their lot, they will ask you for a car make/model, color and license plate number. If you say you are not parked in their lot, they will ask for ID, even if you offer to leave a cash deposit.
