British Columbia Nightclubs and Stand Alone Banquet Hall Ordered to Close

British Columbia health minister has announced that all bars. restaurants, and pubs must close by 10pm and the sale of alcohol will cease at 10pm. All night clubs and stand alone banquet halls are ordered to close. They say covid cases are too high. I did not know how smart this virus is in that it spreads only at night. Anyhow these are bleak times and we are moving towards a nanny state.

I am working in a small tourist town in BC on a pipeline project. Everything is open, probably 10% of the people I see wear a mask, no one freaks out if you do not wear a mask. When I talk to the waitresses or locals I ask about their virus concerns, the best reply was from a waitress in a pub.
" We are outdoor people, do not Facebook or Twitter and do not listen to the news much " The majority here live their normal lives and guess what, there are no cases here at all.

The problem is clearly the media that keeps on pumping fear along with the government.
