Puck Drops @ 7:00pm

Every storied franchise has a fabled rival, and for the Boston Bruins, it is the Montreal Canadiens. It has been a rivalry marked by honor, brutal battles, and above all, respect. The two teams opened the Garden in 1928, gave it its last hurrah in 1998, and have met in the playoffs more times than any two teams. Tonight, they are back where they belong and ready to do battle in the Garden again.

Son Of A Bitch!

Bruins drop the opener 2-1...

Michael Ryder scored on the power play with 12 seconds left to play, lifting Montreal to a 2-1 victory over the Bruins Wednesday night. Both teams skated to a scoreless second period, with Boston outshooting Montreal 12 to 3 in the period. In the first, Montreal's Jan Bulis opened the scoring with an even strength goal at 10:50 of the first period. Patrice Bergeron continued right were he left off in the pre-season, opening the Bruins scoring for the 2005-06 season with a goal at 17:44 to knot the score at 1.

This isn't a good night in Boston. Bruins go down with 12 seconds & the Sox get raped in the 5th to go down 2 games...

This game was a real snoozer! Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz :(

However, the Toronto/Ottawa game was very high octane hockey all evening long. What a rivalry!!! :)

Actually I thought the game was pretty good - flow, tempo, not too many penalties some oustanding goaltending - JustaJohn we got to see all 4 lines right away without a whistle, what game were you watching?

JUST DAMN HAPPY TO HAVE HOCKEY BACK!

You're right femaleluver Thibeault looked terrible (Leclair didn't look great either) I will say that Mr.Lindros looked very impressive last night, I've always been a big fan of his so I guess now that he plays for the Leafs I'll have to "root for him to play well in a losing cause".
