Both guys and girls are welcome to comment.

Unfortunately had to cancel last minute. She’s independent without a cancellation policy. I was sick. She was understanding and didn’t ask for anything, but should I provide compensation? She may or may not have been able to rebook with another client.

We have seen each other many times before and I hope to continue.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

If you have seen her many times and you are sick, I think it’s a pretty valid reason to cancel. I’m sure she will be understanding and if you’ve seen her multiple times you know she is a decent person and she will understand.
You can tip her more the next time you have a session with her, bring her a gift, or just talk to her and ask how you can compensate her for her loss of income if it troubles you.
Recently, I had a session with an SP and I wished I had canceled because I wanted to take a nap when I arrived. It was the first time seeing her so I thought cancelling would leave a bad first impression.

That’s very kind of you to think about this

I’ve had cancellations but kept the deposit and applied it to future meets.

However if you’re a regular, I’m sure she’s understanding. It happens to the best of us to fall ill. (Hopefully you will be better soon!)

I don’t cancel often but if I cancel within 24 hours I pay full amount whatever the reason. Even with agencies. I only book multihours and since they know my bookings will be paid they never hesitate to book whatever # of hours I want. Like our man Rick Grimes said a man’s word has gotta mean something, right?
I like that. Very honourable.

Practical question: How to you pay back the agency? Via the girl at the next appointment?

I appreciate your bringing up this topic, and I hope that other members can gain valuable insights from this discussion. It's well-known that canceling with an independent service provider can be one of the worst approaches and may result in the provider losing interest in working with you in the future. However, in the scenario you mentioned where you have seen her a few times and she did not mention any concerns, it would be appropriate as a gentleman to offer compensation as she could have been booked with another client. While being sick is beyond your control, it's also important for the service provider to be considered. Providing a small cancellation fee can help maintain a positive mindset and peaceful resolution. Although cancellation fees may not seem significant, service providers may appreciate the gesture, potentially leading to a better experience and showing them that you value their time and efforts. Communicating any cancellations ahead of time is crucial to avoid last-minute issues. When it comes to agencies, a cancellation fee may not be as effective unless the agency has already dispatched the service provider to your location, in which case compensating the driver would be appropriate. Overall, being considerate and proactive in your communication can benefit everyone involved in the situation.

First of all, I got cancelled by SPs wayyyyy more often than I ever cancelled. Actually, I don't remember the last time I cancelled.

I'd like to believe that, whenever a client cancels, it's for a valid reason. If that is the case and it's only once, I don't think there should be any monetary compensation, especially if we reschedule. Do I get my time back when I'm being cancelled?

Again, I'm saying this but I "never" cancelled. I might feel different if it ever happens, depending on the girl, and still offer some kind of compensation, but it should not be expected.
