I don't have incall, so I have no control of the atmosphere around me music is their music, lights are their lights. Though I'm guessing you are an incall sort, so them controlling these aspects makes sense. I likely would have home cues too if I could.

Lol. Though I am really curious to know who puts a nasty jarring alarm to sound. That really does sound excessive when everything has such a wide variety of selection of sounds to choose from, especially a phone timer.
Yes, obviously if you can't control your environment then there's little you can do and a chime sounds like a nice compromise. Honestly, you'd be amazed at what some people use for an alarm. Some of them are like a jump scare from "Alien". :)

Generally I don't have to worry about a lot of this stuff anymore since I mostly stepped out of the regular system and made my own, but I do still occasionally run into it with indy MPs.

As for the scented oil deal I saw. Oh I get it. I have a sensory issue with textures on my skin. I was gifted a paid massage by a co-worker at my civi job, from another co-worker who runs their own legit (no sex) massage studio out of their home on the side, and I refused the gift because after accepting the massage in the past, it took me a whole week before I could feel comfortable and like the oil was finally gone, and that was with requesting use of the shower right away, then going home and taking a scalding bath, and many showers later. I won't even use moisturizer on my skin because of the dislike of added texture to my skin. My friend has promised me if I ever do take them up on the offer again for massage, oil will not be used.

Around the corner
There are outcall providers who could make the trip to you at an increased cost for travel. Depending on duration, it could be worth it, you might not want to pay for extra travel for a 1 hr booking it might feel like too much, but a 2-3hr booking might be worth the extra travel cost to come to you.
Yeah that is what I call cost saving, increase the booking by 2 hours to save on travel time lol.
Sorry I just couldn’t resist.
Honestly sometimes it would be well worth paying the travel cost instead of having to go through Montreal traffic and the nightmare of finding a parking space.

If the persons initial intent is more time it has it's benifits. Especially if the visit being wanted takes more than 1 hr, it could be nicer to be able to stay in their comfort zone, than to displace to Montreal for it.

One of the 2 is doing the travel. Either it is 4hrs out of his day, and 1 out of hers, or 4 hours out of her day, and 1 of his, or more since he has more of his day to himself to enjoy if he thinks it worth it.

Travel fees are also to help cover the time distance and gas that goes into the displacement. That's 1 hr with him, but 3 hours she is unavailable to see or even text anyone else because driving, not being driven, means that might be the only visit that happens that day. More time helps with incentive to make it worth the SPs time to make the visit. It isn't a mandatory thing, but I am more likely to turn down a distance 1hr visit than accept, unless it has been a very slow week, because of how much lost potential revenue there is. In the time to see that 1 person for 1 hour, 3 appointments could have been had and completed in the day that the 1 long distance appointment was done in. 2 hours or more just makes it easier to accept the booking then.
And just meaning it feels like a discount then.

Eg: 200/hr. With 100 travel fee, it's either 300/1hr or 500/2hrs. Yes it's more, but gets to feel like the second hour has been discounted.
