WOW.................................................................................................................................................................................................a 17-year-old girl is murdered and the primary concern for you is her death might somehow prevent guys from trading money with a BITCH for sex. It's priorities like this that give the LE and Conservatives more credibility in their concerns.

Sorry if i came off as inconsiderate Merlot...It is a tragedy and i feel terrible for that girl...but this is an escort review forum.

Our main purpose for being here is to talk about escorts and our experiences getting laid..so this bill affects us all on this site and seeing how comments were made about how this incident could help the bill get passed...well i got pissed off because that could very well happen...I am sure you can understand that !!! and i tend to get upset when people want to mess around with my freedom...everyone in this world has a right to get laid and the government hasn't got the right to stop anyone from engaging in an act that is necessary to every humans health and well being. But they do have a Duty to protect everyone in society without taking away their freedom.

but my point was if hypothetically the person was an escort and if prostitution was legal as it should be... and laws were put in place to protect the workers and the clients...well these types tragedies could be avoided...

Boyfriends are dangerous and abuse women. We should criminalize boyfriendship so no more boyfriend would abuse young underage girls.

There's a young men who was stabbed to death on the night of his prom last week-end. So while we're at it, why don't we ban Proms also?

Also boyfriendship and girlfriendship considerably increases risk of STDs as compared to escorting - after all escorts always insist on condoms.

Hello Snoodle,

Sorry about being hard with your post. I know too many people who passed away tragically, some very young, some so young they didn't even get to high school. One of the sweetest young ladies I ever knew passed away just last April at age 27. In my gut it seemed quite misplaced to equate the tragic subject of this thread with the politics of escorting. Though I agree with your original main point, IF it was related to this tragedy, I thought some perspective was off track in this case.

Good luck,

Merlot

It may be tough to rent the room where the girl was killed. People are going to ask, "is that the room where that poor girl was killed?" This is a huge problem for hotels. People are superstitious, this is why there is no 13th floor at the Sheraton or many other hotels. The movie "1408" with John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson focuses on a hotel room ("1408") where a past murder occurred and demonstrates the issues hotels have, with murder mystery writers being the only guests interested in staying in those rooms.

I believe the owners will be questioned about what security they have. This reminds me of a murder that occurred at a hotel in Connecticut several years ago that was somewhat similar to this one. A girl ran into her ex-BF at a party at the hotel which was a large hotel in Stamford. When she saw the ex-BF she left the party and took a service elevator to the lobby level restaurant. The ex-BF followed her down the elevator and attacked and stabbed her to death in an area near the service elevator. There are questions about security but in Connecticut there is an innkeeper's law under which innkeepers have a duty to:

(a) to protect them against unreasonable risk of
physical harm, and

(b) to give them first aid after it knows or has
reason to know that they are ill or injured, and
to care for them until they can be cared for by
others.

This is based on the Restatement of Torts which is adopted as common law in CT and may be so adopted in Montreal/Quebec but I do not know.

Not so sure about that. They can keep the room number secret and even if it leaks it would only be rumors. People are supersticious, but most people will not know or care. There's even some people who will ask to get that room. That's what happened after the murder of Nancy Sprungen at the Hotel Chelsea. For everyone afraid of ghosts, there's one who wants to see them.

That movie 1408 is hardly a documentary. And it's the manager who refuse to rent the room because every single guests dies in there (often by committing suicide). The journalist insist, saying they cannot legally refuse him to have this room if it's unoccupied.
