I agree that social media is fucking horrible, but I don't trust this administration to handle it.

I didn’t trust the previous administration. They censored independent media and silenced journalists or anyone that didn’t share their narrative. Barack Obama and Joe Biden got rid of the Smith-Mundt Act in 2013 - an act that originally held news corporations accountable for lying to the American people and spreading propaganda.

Since then, the lies from left-wing media have divided not just Americans, but Canadians too. It’s fuelled hatred, chaos, and anarchy across our nations.

Mainstream media, content creators, political commentators, and streamers are all entitled to opinions - but they need to start clearly stating that what they’re saying is opinion - NOT FACT. They need to stop spreading half truths and propaganda to their viewers. The nonstop rhetoric, misinformation, and media manipulation have consequences. A man literally lost his life over this.

We need to hold journalists accountable and demand truth - not censorship or biased coverage from legacy media outlets.

My guy, Destiny is being looked into because of his comments on CK when he crashed out on Twitter the other day with political commentators. Of course they’re gonna look into his streams. People have been banned across platforms like Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, and various streaming services for their political commentary and the investigations are ongoing. They’re now targeting Destiny simply because he crashed out on Twitter and mocking / condoning Charlie Kirk’s death.

So stop saying Twitter isn’t included lmao. It’s literally happening to everyone who said anything disparaging about anything.

And obviously, Truth Social. No chance in hell the "social media" platform owned by Trump is going to be questioned.

You might not be a gamer or watch streams like I do, but Twitch is literally condoning this kind of behavior - while banning other streamers like Tectone just for saying the word “fuck.” That’s pure insanity.

Free speech isn’t the problem here. The real issue is when people go beyond speech and they start calling others to arms or inciting violence. That crosses a line, and it’s not something that should be brushed off or defended under the guise of “free speech”. Free speech shouldn’t be used as a shield to manipulate viewers through the media or to spread hate speech in order to push a narrative.

There are indeed limits, and I feel like people have become far too insensitive and developed an inflated sense of self behind their phones and social media accounts and think they can do or say anything without any repercussions.

The Government wants the CEOs of these 4 companies to come defend themselves in front of congress. Twitter and Truth aren't being asked to join. Why? Because the current Admin doesn't believe in Right wing radicalization. That's just called being a patriot.

Next targets are prominent figures in the entertainment industry, academics, left-wing politicians, and labor union activists. Trump is working his way through them as we speak.

We've already seen China introduce online IDs. UK is cracking down on ID verification for porn, as are a few States in USA. Hope you have a back-up plan for work, cause it's going to be a lot more difficult to be a sex worker once America (Canada likely wouldn't be far behind) introduces online IDs that track your every move and are required to go online.

Freedom of speech comes with consequences.

You have the right to say what you want but that doesn’t mean you’re free from the consequences of what you say. If you say something offensive or inappropriate, you might face real-world repercussions: losing your job, getting kicked out of school or losing friends. Companies are in the right to fire employees that act this way and segregate the public, it also reflects negatively on their brand.. To deny clients or not serve customers for having different beliefs is propaganda in itself. That’s real fascism or authoritarianism btw and this all comes from the love and tolerance crowd. The same crowd that got people fired for their vaccine status or misgendering lmao. Make. It. Make. Sense.

For example, waking up to see a tweet from a SP calling me a “privileged white girl” is shocking and honestly, if that’s not a racist statement, I don’t know what is. But somehow, I’m the one being canceled because I don’t agree with her or her minions.
