Brian Nguyen became the first transgender to win a title under the Miss America Organization. He was named Miss Greater Derry 2023, landing him a crown and scholarship, as announced this past Sunday. The Miss Greater Derry Scholarship Program provides scholarships to "young women" between the ages of 17 and 24...

"My name is Brian Nguyen, I am 19 years old, and I am currently a freshman at Nashua Community College majoring in Business Management," writes Nguyen on Instagram. The teen also mentions their initiative titled, "#QueensAreEverywhere." "This is a media movement that helps the next generation develop self-confidence, realize their potential, and become the leaders of their destiny," Nguyen explains.

I don't want to look mean but who were the other contestants for this person to win? I mean lets be honest there. Im not a stud myself but i wouldn't even think of getting in a beauty pageant for men. Im not even talking about the transgender aspect here... Looking at the group pic, almost all the other women are what you would consider "attractive" by regular standard.

I hate to say this but even all the other women in my opinion are very ordinary, not one head turner amongst them.
Some of the SP I have seen are miles ahead of these ladies.

Yes for sure, but i mean if you look the 2 on the left bottom, fairly cute, I mean they are all slim and "good looking" even if not head turner (i agree).

Brían Nguyen, the male winner who left twelve female competitors in the dust, accepted his prize on behalf of oppressive, dominating males everywhere. "I'm a beautiful lady! See? I shave my legs and stuff!" growled the 250-pound behemoth of a male. "I'm proud to show the world that men are better at being women than women are. Chalk up one more point for the patriarchy! WOOOOOOOOOO!"

Nguyen then shotgunned a beer and crushed the can on his head.

Sources say few expected Nyugen to win the contest, but he quickly shut down skepticism after posting perfect scores in the caber toss, pie eating contest, and parallel parking competitions — all new additions to the pageant.

"We hope Nyugen's performance sends a clear message to girls everywhere," said Jyrx Gruumer, the local pageant coordinator. "Men will continue to invade their spaces and their competitions until they dominate in every category, all opportunities are stripped from women, and women cease to be a real category of human being altogether. PROGRESS!"

At publishing time sources had confirmed pageants across the country are reinforcing their stages to bear the weight of the influx of male contestants this year.

It is just to grab a headline and will be a non issue and nobody will remember it in a week.
These things stopped bothering me a long time ago.
Having a transgender win gold medals in female sporting events however is a different matter all together, some of those ladies train half their lives to get a chance at the olympics or World Cup competitions only to be bested and causing them in some cases to lose their livelihood by someone who has an unfair advantage is totally wrong and inexcusable.
You want to compete in sports, fine, have a transgender category and compete all you want and if you want to add a transgender category to the Olympics that is also fine.
