If at any point CL was a worry to Fred & MERB, no longer.A couple of years ago, there were maybe 25 posts to CL/day on weekends, and a couple of my associates made big money and big splashes by posting there, with well-written posts and decent pictures, etcetera.
Now, everyone is buried by everyone else in a flurry of posts, I've been tracking numbers, and they average about 250/day. Ten times as much.
Why the uptick?
Massage parlours post every one of their workers, each day.
Agencies are posting, many try to pretend all their girls are independent, not mentioning any agency affiliation, and doing an individual post for each girl on a shift.
Indys: A lot of them post to CL. And a lot of girls have gone indy in the past two years.
As well, I'm guessing the economy. There are a ton of first-timers, many look like girls and women with no other choice of income. They post a few times, and then disappear.
All in all, I'm in favour of CL rolling out the criteria they have now in the U.S.: One needs both a verified email & phone number AND a credit card to post (minimal amounts are charged). OTOH, I just checked new york city listings and there are already over 300 postings for today, alone.
