You would think that as a tribute to the victim the author of the article would include a bit more biographical information about her than just that she was a 28 year old stripper. I'm sure she was probably more than that. Hopefully, she got a proper obituary back when her remains were discovered.

Amazing how a creepy-looking guy with a body in his truck could slip over the border. He didn't evidence any behavioral oddities after killing this woman to warrant a vehicle search? Good thing they eventually got him because the fact that he took a trophy suggests that he probably would have done it again. Sick fuck.

i had to leave the game after the 2nd period since he was sweating all over me & i could barely move since he was way too big

If SPs were allowed to respond to their bad reviews and explain why they left early or didn't perform very well, I would suspect that many of the responses would read exactly like this.

In a former life I used to cross the border weekly in a truck into B.C., Alberta, Sasketchewan, and Manitoba, and return. I never had an inspection crossing back into the U.S. and only one time entering Canada. This was for about 10 years prior to Sept. 11, 2001 and for about five years after. But then again, I'm not that creepy looking. I don't think I'm that creepy, anyway...

video of girls, under the age of 12, sex acts ????

disgusting, sick F#$% indeed....
Allow me to say it for you... disgusting, sick Fuck indeed...
When i saw the picture of the guy, he immediately reminded me of a big fat guy (350 lbs+) that sat next to me at a hockey game (World Cup of Hockey) back in September 2004 at the Bell Center. I'll never forget that guy....i had to leave the game after the 2nd period since he was sweating all over me & i could barely move since he was way too big (he couldn't sit in the seat...had to stand up the whole time while leaning against it). If that guy in the picture weighs as much as i listed...i think that's the guy who sat next to me (okay, it felt like he was sitting 'on' me)!
I'm not a light weight nor very svelte, either. I do my best to stay in my seat though. Sorry this happened to you. Perhaps, Doc, if this was in September and if this was the guy, he was profusely sweating because he was planning this crime.

That would clear up a lot of confusion, wouldn't it.

Why is he eligible for parole after only 12 years? He should never see light of day. You kill someone for no reason and you can walk free in 12 years? He ought ot be hanged and thats that.

You're luckier than I am, then. I get hassled at least once a year. I've had my car searched a couple of times, and I've had to go inside for a chat with immigration too. I don't get it. I get flagged, and the guy with the body in his truck cruises on by. What a joke. Must be my porn star stache. They probably think I'm traveling to film and working without a permit.

He ought ot be hanged and thats that.

Hanging would be too good an end for this meathead. He'd probably like it, since hanging can result in the phenomenon know as a "death erection". In my opinion, the government should allow the victim's closest relative to kill the offender by a means of his or her own choosing. Any reasonable means should be permissable, including the insertion of a stick of dynamite up the offender's ass.

Stake him out and let the red ants get him. If that's too cruel than put him to sleep. Otherwise he will be back out on the streets in 6-8 years do to over crowding, budget deficits, and good behaivior.

Oh, and he will do something like this again!

He was driving a tanker truck meaning he probably dumped the body into the fuel reservoir. Even if he was displaying odd behavior why would the border crossing guards inspect the fuel reservoir? The only reason to do so would be to check on the heating oil or gasoline he was towing, not to look for a body. Nobody is going to dive into a reservoir of hazardous substances searching for a body. That is not part of the job description of a border crossing guard.

I'll have to admit that I've never looked at a tanker up close. I've only gotten peripheral views of them as I've passed-by at Mach 1 on the interstate. Do they have hatches big enough for a non-dismembered person to fit in? Maybe I'll ask the next trucker I see when he's delivering gas early in the morning. That should raise some eyebrows.

Even so, I couldn't imagine draining the tank and then entering it to recover the body. Without some sort of protective equipment, the concentrated fumes would likely be fatally toxic (unless it was a milk tanker). I'd bet that the victim was in the cab - probably under the bed. The bar where the victim worked is relatively close to the border and the area is pretty flat and fairly open, so I'd be surprised if he found a secluded spot, carried the victim to the top of the tank, and dropped her in before heading home.

They should release him & force him to walk the streets of Arizona while wearing a sombrero. Force him to wear a shirt stating "I hate white people."

Really,

If this happened between Montreal and the American border at High Gate going into Vermont, the area to the south of auto route 10 has a number of very small isolated roads between several very small isolated towns, and the area in the close vicinity of the border is always deserted at any time of the day I have driven through there. I rarely see a car in front of or behind me. On an isolated side road cutting through the thick threes lining these roads it would be unlikely for anyone to see anything, and at night it would be pure luck. And the entrance point into New York ( I've been through there twice) is very much the same. It would seem a huge guy like that could hall up an average woman in a short time...unfortunately.

As I mentioned before, in a past life, I crossed the border a lot. For 25+ years I drove over the road pulling all types of trailers, hauling virtually everything from fuel, to blasting agents, poison, livestock, lumber, dry bulk products, medical supplies, groceries, part of the Space Shuttle, the list is endless. I'd like to add my expertise to the conversation.

Impossible. The dome lids on the top of a fuel/gasoline tanker are about 10 inches in diameter. Tankers are typically filled and drained from the bottom.
... Do they have hatches big enough for a non-dismembered person to fit in? ...
Only on dry bulk tankers. These tankers have very pronounced cone shapes at the bottom so the flour, cement, sugar will drain completely. Air pressure is used to move the product out of the trailer and into the storage silo.
... I'd bet that the victim was in the cab - probably under the bed. The bar where the victim worked is relatively close to the border and the area is pretty flat and fairly open, so I'd be surprised if he found a secluded spot, carried the victim to the top of the tank, and dropped her in before heading home.
She had to be in the sleeper, under the bed. All sleeper cabs have a huge storage area under the mattress. An episode of CSI had a story line about a trucker kidnapping women and keeping their bodies under the bunk.

Hard to do. He would have to carry her up a 6 to 8 foot vertical ladder on either end of the tank. He doesn't look like he's in good enough shape to haul himself up the ladder, much less carry a woman over his shoulder.

I see nowhere saying she was in the tank. These truck cabins are quite spacious these days, she could have been under the bunk.
Yes. Some custom sleepers are like a small travel trailer in there, with a full size bed, microwave, water reservoir, satelite tv, all the comforts of home.
Hopefully this answers some questions. I'm not the most renown authority, but over 25 years in transportation has taught me a lot. Anything anyone wants to know about trucks, I'm willing to help, or at least can find an answer.

One of the news articles indicated that the killer used the Lacolle crossing. The truck stop bar where the victim worked was at Exit 38 (Laprarie?).

Thanks, Sweetwater. You just saved me from having to have a very strange conversation at the local gas station.
