Kraynak and Wright likely stiffed the cabbie, he chased them (perhaps with a gun), they ran in the dark and scaled the fence which had warning signs in French but not English about the quarry, Kraynak and Wright, assuming that they even saw the warning signs in the dark which is questionable, were Americans who probably did not read or understand French, they then jumped the fence and ran in the dark over the precipice unaware of the cliff and the quarry surface far below, and fell in the dark to their unfortunate deaths, their bodies not to be discovered for another 11 days or so[

Everything is probably true except for the gun. We're not all that gun happy up here EB. Thankfully. One thing as well, even if the signs had of been in English as well, I doubt that the guys would have stopped to read it while they were being pursued and you can't really expect that a sign would be on each section of fence as well. Unfortunately they were the unwitting authors of their own demise when they ran off on that taxi driver without paying their fare. Shit happens, as we all know.
