As far as "pornographic performance" being the standard, guys need to remember that most porno scenes nowadays are faker than pro wrestling. One thing that annoys me to a great extent is the often obvious use of jump cuts; no, the typical sexual encounter does not normally feature 20+ minutes of penetration, they're just stretching it out to justify selling the scene to you (poor wretched souls, they still realize that most guys will get it bootlegged anyway but insist on a tantric sex performance that the Yoga masters would be proud of).
But your point is equally valid that it is engrained in many guys' psyche (evolutionary psychology?) to be ashamed of busting prematurely i.e. 2 minutes.1) You're leaving the woman unsatisfied, 2) You're not making a good impression as a male, 3) You just spent $200+ on a two minute ride.
