The arrival of summer is right around the corner. Do you have any summer travel plans? My itinerary includes Rio de Janeiro, Argentina, and Punta del Este (Uruguay). I am eagerly anticipating the sight of the service providers from Argentina and Uruguay. I've had the pleasure of visiting these stunning countries for the second time.I’m excited to know about your upcoming summer plans.

COVID has made travel so expensive. I go to Spain every July (2015-2019), and hotels + airfare was only $100/night + $300/flight every time. I just checked and it's $300/night + $1000 flight. What the fuck!

There are individuals who are exploiting the price hikes during the covid period, but now that things are returning to normal, the prices have also reverted to the same level as during the covid era. As businesses exploit the circumstances, one may question why the economy is faltering. The prices are being manipulated by companies that are exploiting the system. It is suggested that we collectively refuse to support these companies, hence giving them a taste of their own medicine.

Honestly, I love Montreal in the summer. I can't imagine leaving to go anywhere else.
Now that I think about it, I've never been to Europe in the summer.

I plan most of my travels abroad between fall and spring

Personally, I find Montreal tedious and incapable of envisioning myself residing there throughout all 12 months . The city of Montreal has experienced a decline in quality compared to its previous state. Although I acknowledge that Montréal is enjoyable during the summer season, due to Covid-19, the downtown area of Montréal appears to be deserted after 10pm. Montreal was once illuminated by electricity, with downtown exuding radiance until the early hours of the morning any day of the week. I am aware of this fact due to my residence in the heart of downtown, where I am able to witness it firsthand.

I think covid was just a push really. Too many bars and restaurants for example weren't doing well before. I know plenty of businesses that learnt to adapt and came out stronger... for the rest "adapt or die". As for downtown, its been in decline since forever. With real estate pricing the way it is, its no wonder that establishments have moved into other boroughs. I can think of 100 restaurants, <5 are downtown. There's just no point... besides... the amount of places you can reach with just a 15$ uber ride is exactly what I love about Montreal. Toronto... you barely get to cross the street and you're stuck in some type of mystical congestion. I love MTL.

But for vaca... give me a tropical setting which isn't flooded by 1000 tourists trying to get the same gram photo.

With COVID the concept of remote work and digital nomads started to gain prominence. My job is completely remote and I can work from anywhere. Just came back from Costa Rica lol. I took an Airbnb worked during the morning and was sightseeing during the evening and weekends, but Costa Rica is an expensive place as expats have increased the prices and defeats the purpose.

I plan on traveling to other LatAm countries to find a nice, warm place for me to work during winter and experience their women lol. Peru, Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay are on the cards.
Do you have any plans to visit Uruguay and Argentina soon?. I'm curious about the quality of service providers in Costa Rica. Costa Rica has been on my bucket list for quite some time now.

Yep, planning a trip to Argentina with another Canadian this January. He mentioned in Argentina there is this "blue dollar" exchange rate with USD where you get twice the exchange rate in the black market.

Although service providers in Costa Rica were cheap, I wasn't able to get GFE if that's something you want. You can get BBBJ and FS for 50$ in massage parlors and for about $100 - $150 USD in hotel bars. The prices have gone up mainly due to expats.

Got back from Turkey and wanted another short vacation, checked out the east coast and Banff. After looking at flights ( Montreal to Calgary $975 cheapest ) and the east coast drive time and hotel plus dining costs I chose Cuba for $640 for 5 days. Was in Valadaro in Jan and not impressed but someone told me Cayo Coco Grand Muthu was very nice and it is. Only shortage is no soda ( brought a 24 of coke with me just in case ). Would like to travel in Canada but the cost is outrageous compared to going elsewhere. Next is the states for the Coca-cola 600.
They even have the playoffs on here.
Canada needs to smarten up to promote tourism.

Guess you haven't met our local fine French women. Finest in the world. 'La creme de la creme'. No promotion required.

Best therapy I ever recieved - just wasn't aware of it at the time ;)

I have been around here for a long time, guessing you have not been to Whistler BC ( amazing women ) but those are mostly tourists. Was in Turkey recently and the Ukraine and Russian women are outstanding also. Of course the Montreal women are fine but one needs to travel, life gets boring.

Have definitely been to Whistler and Lake Louise, finest powder in the world. However, both times were with a beautiful French (France) woman.

Have always found east European women attractive physically, but way too superficial and materialistic for my taste. The French (QC & France) seem to have a more genuine disposition, which is what for me makes a woman beautiful, and not just attractive.

Travelling is exceptionally fun, especially with the right person.

To get away from materialistic women you need to look in the right places, you can find real beauties working in cafes who are down to earth no matter which country you are in.

Agreed, but I would stick to a French Cafe with a beautiful 'brunette' barista lol ;) for my taste.
