These tend to be just mechanical. Aka they expect to sleep 8 hrs, you wake up, get another service. I believe that's how it goes.

I think what you're (do not mean you specifically) is the experience where you wake up and frolic in the midst of the night. Usually what I described is just more likely from someone who really connects with you, or if not that, then in other countries, like 2nd / 3rd world ones, where they love the luxury of your foreigner hotel and fancy food.
