I'm sure there's illegal immigrants in Canada.

So with that said, do you think Canada should follow the United States's path with dealing with illegal immigration?

Does Canada needs it's own version of ICE?

Regardless of how you feel about this topic, it will never happen with a Liberal government.

They're the ones who opened the border in the first place and the votes of immigrants who became citizens while Trudeau was PM is a key part of what's keeping them in power and will keep them in power for the foreseeable future.

If the Liberals start deporting immigrants (even if they're illegal) it would be one of the most stupid ways of shooting themselves in the foot they could possibly do, in a political sense.

As an immigrant obviously I don’t have an issue with immigrants coming to Canada.
I do however have an issue with illegal immigrants that cost tax payers billions and create housing shortages.
I came here from Australia another Commonwealth member country and it still took over a year of paper work and medical tests to be allowed in.
We paid for our own transportation and had a job within 2 weeks of arriving here and never took a penny from the government in any kind of aid.
Since then I have paid a shit load in taxes and my children are now doing the same.

Illegal immigrants should be detained and deported and preferably not let into the country to begin with but I am sure there is a much more humane way of doing it than what is happening in the US.
