I was talking about general sharing of information between LE agencies which happens all the time. We do not know what DHS has - but if they had something that was usable intel, and they could share it with the FBI, they would.

...This is likely part of some larger operation, the domestic prostitution impact is a mere incidental collateral damage for DHS. It is not what their mission is.

Eager, I can't believe how eager you are to believe DHS propaganda. You sound like a PR guy for DHS. Like any bureaucracy, DHS has expanded its mission. It's not good at what it is supposed to do, i.e., identify, track and stop terrorists from killing Americans. So with the approval of feminists, religious conservatives, and a gullible public, it has expanded its mission into fighting "sex trafficking."

The purpose of that raid was simply to harass and intimidate the owners of the site and any sex workers who would consider advertising there. It's the same strategy used against other such sites. Unfortunately it works. However, it's a game of whack-a-mole. Before Eros has been slowly strangled to death by the Feds, a new ad site will pop up. I would guess that the owners of the next major U.S. ad site will be smart enough to locate all of their operations on foreign soil.

Here is the DHS's own mission statement:

"Missions include preventing terrorism and enhancing security; managing our borders; administering immigration laws; securing cyberspace; and ensuring disaster resilience."

https://www.dhs.gov/mission

Their jurisdiction is not domestic prostitution, but a website used to promote any international business would fall under "securing cyberspace". I don't think Eros is a threat to national security, unless it is being used by elements of international cybercriminals furthering other agendas as suggested by minutemenX.

Right. And they're not doing a good job at any of those "missions." Which is why they have expanded their "mission" to one of fighting "sex trafficking." But all they are really doing is serving as Keystone Cops police force in the service of the prostitution abolition movement.

I ended up looking at them again for the first time since the raid. A lot has changed, no one seems to list their website in the ads anymore! I can't tell if the website is in Zombie mode or if its still legit?

Eros prevent us from posting our websites.. as well as pick and choose the pictures that are judged acceptable. They take our money and then make you re-do your ad so many times that at some point you don't even bother anymore. It's so annoying :(
