That’s higher than I would have thought, even borderline respectable. I never thought she was all that good or had top 10 talent to begin with and she certainly doesn’t have the mental grit or commitment. A lot of the top women’s players have a combination of physical talent and are grinders mentally. Bouchard has good size, but isn’t a good athlete and doesn’t use her size well. Most of the women in the top 10 except the small Czech girl (Cibulkova, who is a total grinder) are just as big as Bouchard is or bigger.
An example of an even greater wasted talent on the men’s side is Nick Kyrgios. He does have top 10 talent, but has no work ethic (by his own admission) and is an utter head case.
