Rudolph is a backup QB, but is an above average backup QB with good size and some potential.

AV, a lot of the Canadian posters are a little naive about football especially the financial aspect of it and don't understand that NFL QB backups are generally very well paid, as they represent important insurance policies to a verifiable high risk, that being season ending injury to the starter. A lot of the backup QBs in the NFL suck and are well paid for sucking, but I think Mason Rudolph is a decent backup and the Steelers could get by with him for a few games if needed. Given Ben Roethlesberger's age and mileage, they will need to fish or cut bait with him as possibly being their next starter pretty soon.
