I live in Old Montreal since 1994...so am a bit bias....lollll....and honestly je ne me vois pas vivre ailleurs....i really enjoy life all around here....
Not a neighbourhood per se but rue Laurier and rue Sainte-Catherine near Place des arts.
So two totally different areas but I love those streets so much.
Plateau including Mile-End. I like the vibe and also the proximity of all services, I mean like everything is within walking distance. No need for a car, when I need a car I just rent one, I hate driving in the city.

I’m with you on that. I think anyone who says they like driving in Montreal is a psychopath. I’m kidding! With all the potholes, traffic, detours, streets that are temporarily one way, blocked roads for festivals and whatnot.
Waiting for the REM to open otherwise I will stay on the South Shore except when I visit my favourites.
Dont need the hassle of parking and construction in the zoo.
I can get everything I need here at the 10/30. I do miss walking around in the old port and some of the restaurants in China Town.
