The world's oldest profession has many, many synonyms. Some neutral, some derogatory, some flowery. A term I see a lot around parts is "SP" for "service provider", but it's too matter-of-fact for my tastes and makes me automatically think of Bell/Videotron. I've never used the term but when sex workers use '304' for each other I think it's hilarious bc it always makes my brain process it for a second before I understand and then the 12-year old boy in me goes, 'hehehehe' and I think of an upside down calculator.

And I thought I had a predilection for old-timey terms, but that right there is a really old-timey term.

I found this quotation:

...so guess where the term "punk" actually has its roots.
