Sadly, I have been diagnosed with cancer. Stage 4 lymphoma. I am in chemotherapy but things don't look good.

Cancer has touched those close to me on several different occasions and it's never easy to deal with. I am very saddened to hear this. I probably read every single trip report thread you ever posted on MERB, dating back to the Eleganza days. Your reviews gave me tremendous insight into who to book there. Your reviews were well above average in both the amount of information conveyed and in the efficiency you used in allotting only as much space as was needed to convey that information without excessive indulgence in literary flourishes or in ranting on ego-related issues, as we have seen with other reviewers. With you we got no nonsense, informational reviews that actually helped me, and others. Whenever you posted a trip review thread it was an immediate and important RUSH read, especially since the compendium of reviews all in one thread sometimes irritated the Mods and led to a quick breakdown of the thread into multiple threads. I can remember some other posters copying and pasting the threads before they could be taken down on a few occasions. I think Special K may have done that and sent me one of your reports which disappeared- he was pretty good at saving valuable information before it could be lost. Although it was not really lost, it was just broken down and dumped into 15 threads instead of 1. Which really did not ever make any sense to me, and I thought Mods should have given you a pass for life on that. i would have, because you were a one of a kind reviewer on this board and the Godfather of the Trip Report Review Compendium of 8-10 plus escorts on one trip.

My best wishes to you in fighting this illness, treating the illness and hopefully recovering in order to come back to Montreal and review once again. My thoughts are with you.

I can relate to your comments on appreciating all aspects of the hobby... well written.

Not sure I can wish you well with your 'fight' or 'struggle' because I am not even sure those words make sense. Maybe they do.
