Around Montréal...
I'm sincerely happy that Mods have decided to take the time to think about it after read the objections.
That was a nonsense and Mod 11, you had highly surprised me to recognized that wasn't a good idea, finally.

The most happy should be the reviewer, I guess... As a writer, I know that's really annoying to be censured.

Good move! Thumbs up!

Hello Maria,

The original poster was not being censured or censored. He was never prohibited from posting and his posts were not removed or edited. What was at issue was the format of his post and nothing more. We do our best to have a consistent look to all review threads and to keep all reviews of each provider in one thread for ease of finding information. In this case we have made an exception but we do not expect members to begin saving reviews and to post them in bunches. This case was an exception and it was handled as such. We still expect members to post their reviews in existing review threads in the proper section of MERB, one lady reviewed per post.

Wow! I was thinking I was doing something good! My mistake, sorry! I can admit when I'm wrong, no worries.

The second thing that prompted the closure of the thread was Freedom3 was also starting individual threads on the girls he reviewed in his mega thread.

I am in full agreement with Mod 8's decision to reopen the thread. Considering the overwhelming opinion of the members, that was the best thing to do.

Thanks

M11 & M8, thank you both for reconsidering. It shows respect on your part. That's what I was hoping, of course.
Obviously, it is not simply to re-open the thread, but to leave it available...
I don't think we need to worry that such threads will become standard, not many people see so many ladies in such little time...
On the other hand, honestly, if agencies complain about the "ease of finding" info from these threads, I don't really care. The board is for us, really.
Anyway, I think the issue is resolved. Thank you all for showing your support and to the Mods for seeing our point.

Hormone, no agencies complained. My intentions was to make searching easier for the MEMBERS.

We already have one member contributing his review in that thread and that's one of the thing I wanted to avoid. The risk is everybody who saw one of these girl will post his review there and it will become a huge messed-up thread almost impossible to follow.

Imagine, reviews and comments about 17 girls, all intertwined, mostly without post titles or reference about who the post is about.

I was referring to Mod8's comment about "in the past..." :)

Mod 8 said:
In the past we received numerous complaints about such collective review posts (...) both from members as well as agencies

As for this:

I agree. I think if there really needs to be a rule, it should be that no other full review should be allowed by a 2nd poster in such a thread. That's what I was referring to in my initial post. You could make it a rule that only comments, questions to the thread starter and the asnwers pertinent to these questions would be allowed. Other full reviews should simply be put in the girl's "official" review thread.

I would also understand closing such a thread after 1-2 weeks to avoid useless add-ons later on, once everyone has read it and had a chance to comment and or ask questions. If people then have many questions, up to them to PM the author of the thread!

The use of "censored" was probably not adequat. How do you call the idea that a text is refused in it's initial form and in need to be tranformed because it is not conformed to some rules of format then?

I will change my previous post to show exactly what I wanted to express.

Thanks.

I would like to thank everyone for their support in having my thread re-opened.

The post took a long time to write, and I was, of course, disheartened when the thread was closed.

I am glad the decision was made to re-open the thread.

I would add that I don’t have any ill will towards mod11. I did, of course, feel that he was being somewhat fanatical when he closed my thread, but moderators definitely play a crucial role on boards and he deserves full credit for the time he devotes to this. Even more, he maintained an open mind in the face of criticism and that is rare.

On a separate topic, if anyone is wondering, I am now experiencing severe withdrawal symptoms after no longer having my daily escort encounters.
